I stepped out of Ollivanders into the loud, bustling streets of Diagon Alley. I wondered where I should go next. I could go get my potion supplies from the Apothecary, or get my school robes at Madam Malkin's. That's when I saw it: Flourish and Blotts. A rush of excitement flooded through me as I steered my parents towards the book store. I loved reading, both fiction and non-fiction; I had been especially excited to get my school books.

As we entered the the store, a bell rang above my head. Long rows of bookshelves filled the interior, and the smell of fresh parchment and old books was welcome in contrast to the somewhat musty smell inside of Ollivanders. I looked down at my list and began gathering my books. I combed the rows and rows of shelves, stopping occasionally to pick up a required book or to read one that looked interesting. Finally, the last thing on my list was Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I was especially excited for this one, as I loved all magical creatures. I picked it up and flipped to the first page, wondering what marvelous creatures I might meet during my future adventures at Hogwarts.
