Avery could barely think as she finally made it across the grounds and up the three flights of stairs. Epona wasn't heavy. If anything, she was as light as a feather, but walking up stairs was what was killing Avery. With her asthma still with her after a failed healing attempt and no time to fix it, she was breathing heavily. Though she pushed that to the back of her mind. Something to deal with later when the life of one of her friends wasn't on the line.

Avery walked into the Hospital Wing in a frenzy. Taking a quick glance around the room before she said anything. "Please. Help. My friend here, Epona, she fell off her broom on the Quidditch pitch and I'm worried she's at least broken a few bones." Avery pleaded to the room.

It had been awhile since she'd last visited the Hospital Wing. From what she remembered, it was probably the time Mikey had saved her. It was the time she had first experienced an asthma attack. Though the memory was tough to think about, that moment had brought her closer to him and sparked an even deeper connection than they already had at the time.

It had felt as if an understanding of each other passed between them when it had happened. Though the news was not great, and Avery wasn't healed, but only slightly protected of the effects, she didn't mind. Maybe someday she would get the chance to be free, but for now she would continue as she was.

Avery looked down at Epona. Unsure of how the girl had fared on the long journey. "Hang in there. Hopefully the nurse will be here soon." Avery said to her young first year friend. She just hoped the girl would be okay. A fall like hers was something Avery could push through, but she didn't know about the young Hufflepuff in her arms. The girl seemed so young and innocent. Not deserving of the pain she was being put through.

Avery had never been a sister. She had always been an only child, but at this moment Epona felt more like her little sister than a friend. A girl she needed to protect and take care of in everything. A young badger that had fallen under her wing, and she liked it. The feeling of being wanted and needed was nice. Something Avery didn't experience often.
