Larain, had died three months previous and Maria new guardian, her aunt Selene was a Summer fairy with no clue how to clean the snow with her magic. So Maria went down to try and coax the grime and dirt out of the lake, but instead, she had coaxed the dragon out, which had been the cause for all the grime. So here she was, running back to the house, a giant reptilian monster chasing her. Not the way she planned to spend her day.

------She ran into the house, slamming the door behind her. Her Aunt Selene looked up from the kitchen oven where she was baking. "Maria!" She exclaimed, "Don't slam the door! Did you clean all the grime?"

------Maria sighed, "Sorry Tenia Selene. You could say that I guess..." Maria looks towards the door.

------Her Aunt quickly zooms to the door and gasps, "Why is there a Winter Dragon at our doorstep, looking like it wants to freeze this whole house into a big block of ice? Actually no, I don't want to know. Is that what was making the snow all disgusting looking?"

------Maria nods as her Aunt sighs, "Let's go see the Council."

------The Council was made up of four fairies, one for each season, winter, spring, summer, and autumn was in charge of all deeds, magical or not. If there was a problem, you had to go to them. They were also the ones who ran the test of which season you belonged to. Most people where what their parents were but some people, like her aunt had been giving a different one. And, there was a legend passed down from fairy to fairy that one day, an Adredria Marelo would come, a master of all seasons. Someone who could make it snow in the winter, bring flowers in the spring, coax the sun out in summer, and make the leaves fall in autumn.

------Maria and Selene arrived at the Council's office, the Aeli, in a taxi cab. Selene got out and payed the driver but Maria hesitated. She always felt nervous going into the Aeli since three months ago when that was where she had learned what happened to her mom.

------"Maria! What are you waiting for?!? Come on!" Selene said to Maria who was looking at her with soft eyes, "Oh, Maria, I get it but you know they will want to hear about this. Now please get out of the car and say thank so this sweet man can leave." Selene winked at the man and gave him her most charming smile.

------Maria rolled her eyes and got out of the car, "Renel Yenorel sir, thank you for bringing us here."

------He bowed his head in orderly fashion and drove away. Maria gazes after his car longily, wishing she could drive away. "Well wasn't he nice!" Her aunt said with a look behind her at Maria who was still standing where she had gotten out of the car. "Oh Maria, why don't you want to go in? You're not being selected into a season yet. Is it because this is where you found out about your mom?" Maria nods. "Trust me, nothing bad is happening this time. Ok hesena?" Selene puts her around Maria and they walk into the Aeli where a fairy behind a desk asked them if they had an appointment.

------"No, but it's an urgent matter." The lady gave them a questioning looks, "Involving a winter dragon in the snow of our backyard. My niece discovered it when she was cleaning the snow. It started chasing her to our house."

------"Oh my well, I'll get them." The lady pulls out a phone and calls a number, then after a little, the lady's face goes ashen and she quickly tells them they may head up now.

------Selene smiles and heads up to the main headquarter of the Aeli, her heels clacking on the tile floor. Selene always had time to get ready in a fashion statement outfit for the quickest notice of a meeting.

------The door to the headquarter opened to the four Councillors sitting in chairs that matched their season. The fairy Councillor of winter, Relga, was in a chair of ice, the Councillor of Spring, Yvette, a chair of flowers, the Councillor of Summer, Emma, was in a throne like a ball of fire, and the Fairy of autumn, Denia, in a throne of leaves. All three where smiling warmly, but there was a hidden look of concern in their faces.

------"High Councillors" Selene bows, "We come to you to tell you about the Winter dragon that my niece discovered whilst trying to take the grime out of the snow."

------"Is that your niece there?" The spring Fairy Yvette askes and Selene nods, "Why she doesn't look old enough to have been sorted into the different seasons like the others"

------"Hm no" Relga says, then more directed at Selene then anybody else, "You are her guardian correct?" Selene nods her head. "Then it is by your decision, are you ok with up seeing her season at her young age? This is purely to test somethings. There have been other Dragons popping up for each the other seasons so we would like to test your niece."

------Maria's aunt turns to her "Maria? Are you okay with that? Being sorted already?"

------Hesitantly, Maria nods, "Iemay. You may. I think." Maria wasn't sure if she was ready Would it be painful? But she said yes any way and the four female Fairies moved to her, each placing one of there hands on her forehead, the other outstretched to their chairs, like they where calling on the elements from them.

------No sooner had they stuck their hands out, did a flower fall into Yvettes from her chair, closely followed by a leave from Denia's chair, a snowflake from Relga and a ball of fire from Emma. The council members smiled and said together.
------"Spring has chosen you!"
------"Summer has chosen you!"
------"Winter has chosen you!"
------"Autumn has chosen you!"

------They look at each other in shock. All the elements had came to all of the Council members hands, that, could only mean one thing. Maria, it seemed was the Adredria Marelo. The master of all four seasons.

------"I would just like you guys to know, the flower came to Yvette faster, but the others came quickly after." Selene remarked to the Councillors.

Yvette turned towards Maria, with a smile "My dear, you are the Adredria Marelo. But since the flower came first, you will specialize in spring magic. You may go, but please come back tomorrow, when we will discuss what must happen next, especially with all the... disturbances. You might be just what we need."

And with that, the fairies disappeared. Gone. That was Selene and Maria sign to leave too. And they did.

-------Selene walked in then, "Maria, you ready?" Selene was wearing her signature black heels, skinny jeans and a tight white shirt. Maria on the other hand, was wearing a simple blue dress.

-------Maria nodded, "I think. I'm as ready as I'll ever be I guess."

-------"You don't even know what they will ask. It could be as easy as talking to a boy! Come on hesena, it can't be that bad!" Selene smiles laughing

-------"Talking to boys is easy for you." Maria whispered. Selene had a natural charm with everybody. Maria's natural ability? Overthinking and making a fool of herself. "Okay Tenia Selene, we can go."

-------The Aeli seemed even more imposing than it had last time, with Maria now being the Adredria Marelo, but she took a quick breath and hurried up the stairs and into the building.

-------The same fairy from last time was behind the front desk, "Madenera, they are expecting you, you can head up. The others are waiting."

-------Others? Maria thought, but Selene had already said thank you and started walking on. They went to the same room as yesterday, the councillors main office with the adredria chairs.

-------This time, the councillors were in their chairs but next to each of the councillors was a child who looked around Maria's age. They each had the mark of each season on themselves. A flower on spring, a snowflake for winter, a sun for summer, and a leave for autumn

-------"Maria, welcome. These people standing next to me are people who have had crazy things happen like your dragon incident, so we tested them for being the Adredria Marelo." Denia says.

-------"But unlike you, obviously, we're not." The boy with the winter mark says, rather coldly like his element. Relga scolds him with a icy glare.

-------"These will be your quest mates." Councillor Emma says, smiling at Maria. Quest? Maria thinks but Emma isn't done. "You will have to journey to Ei Malcrano re maro. These beasts are trying to break the season and make it one season, all year. We aren't sure which one though, or how you will do it. Only that it is up to you and this group of talented individuals."

-------"No pressure of course." Maria whispers.

-------"Let us introduce you to your gang." Councillor Yvette says. "For spring, you have Eveline Rosonato." The girl with the flower mark smiles at Maria.

-------"For summer, you have Derek Dos Almas." Councillor Emma says, and Derek waves at Maria, his cheeks turning a bright red at his name.

-------"Rachel Tareny will be joining you on your great journey from Autumn." Councillor Denia smiles, and Rachel tries to hide her laugh at the formal introduction

-------"Finally, my son, Arthur Catine representing winter." Councillor Relga says with a look at her son who is rolling his eyes. Maria gasps, she had no clue that councillors were allowed to have children, but of course it made sense they could.

-------Maria stands there, nodding, while the councillors look at her, expecting her to say something, "Oh! Um, I'm Maria Almenelda from... from well I guess all the seasons, but my core season is spring. Also, how come I don't have a season mark if you don't mind me asking."

-------"That's what we forgot!" Denia smiles and all the four councillors get up to her, "I wonder what it will look like!"

-------Each councillor puts their hand on Maria wrist and a bit of their element comes to there hand again. This time though, the element in their hand glows, them explodes after a little. Maria jumps, the little explosion shocked her. But when she looks at her wrist, right below her palm, there is her season mark. It looks like a flower, but inside of it is a sun and outside there is a maple leaf attached and a snowflake coming from it.

-------Maria admired it, turning her wrist side to side. Even the others looked just as awed. Everyone know what the season marks looked like, but this was the first one with all of them combined. Even Arthur looked at the mark in wonder and he had made it seem like he wanted nothing to do with this.

-------"Now, deremor, are you guys ready to head out on your quest?" Councillor Emma asked.

-------All the kids shake their heads. All for the same reason. They hadn't packed anything for a trip. "We didn't pack anything." Eveline whispers.

-------"Of course!" Yvette exclaims, "Go back to your houses and grab clothes, and any thing you might need for your trip. You have an hour."


-------Maria quickly packs her bags, Selene watching her this whole time, "You're growing up so much. I'll miss you when you're gone."

-------Oh come on Tenia Selene, maybe you'll be so bored, you'll finally go back to what you were doing before I had to come." Maria smiled.

-------Seleme smiles, "Life will be boring with out you here that's for sure. Are you almost ready though? We don't want to keep them waiting.


-------"Yeah, I'm ready. But Tenia Selene, what we can't do this? What if me and everyone else can't stop the... whatever and it truly becomes one season? Do you think the councillors will be mad at us? Will you hate me for not being able to do it? Do you think the seasons chose the wrong person to be the Adredria Marelo?" Maria sighs, self-doubt creeping to her.


-------"Oh hesena, I would never hate you. Family doesn't hate each other. I know you could do it because I know how strong you are. No one else could have dealt with both their parents deaths so well and then take being the Adredria Marelo and not be snotty. I believe that the season knew what they were doing when they chose you. When you were born, I remember your mom calling you her gift from the seasons. All of them. This is your destiny. Trust me. Now, we really need to go, all this love is sweet and all..." Selene smiled as Maria laughed. "You got this babe. Besides, you got a whole team, with a Councillors son! I bet he has got training since he was able to walk!"


-------They hired a taxi once again to get to the Aeli but this time, didn't bother asking the lady, they had a an appointment and knew where to go The whole time, upstairs, down halls, whispers followed them as people spotted her mark. "Is that the Adredria Marelo?" "She's so young." "She is whole is going to save the world?" "She's too young for this kind of pressure, it's like she's destined to lose." The people talking and whispering, probably thought Maria couldn't hear them, but she heard every word, every sentence of what they where saying.

-------Maria was turning her head, looking at everyone who was whispering, "Aunt Selene, I can't do this. These people don't even believe in me.

-------Selene kneels down and hugs Maria "Come on Maria, I hope you're not letting what they said bother you. You are the strongest fairy I know, I told you that. You know it, just remember that and believe it. I'm not just saying that because I'm your Tenia. These people don't know you, but if they did, they would know everything the great Maria Almenelda can do. Now, can you please stop with all this self doubt? It's slowing us down! The councillors do not like to be kept waiting."

-------They arrive at the councillors room and step in. All the kids, but Rachel are there, and each of them has either their mom or their dad. Rachel soon hurries in, a teal duffle bag in hand with what Maria can assume is her dad next to her.

-------"Great," Relga says, "Now that everyone is here, you are ready to go! Say your good byes, and then we will make a portal that will get you closer to Ei Malcrano re maro."

-------Selene hugs Maria, "I will miss you. You got this, remember that. You're not just working as a team, you are a whole group. I love you." And with that, Selene hugs her and kisses the top of her head.

-------"Thanks for taking care of me Tenia Selene, I love you so much." Maria said, hugging her aunt back, and turned back to the councillors.

-------When everyone had finished, (Eveline and all the guardians were crying) the councillors opened a portal right in front of their seasonal chairs.

-------"We wish you the best on your journey," Winter councillor Relga said.
-------"To not die or get hurt," said spring councillor Yvette with a laugh.
-------"To do the best you can possibly do at this task," Said Emma of Summer.
-------"To, of course, come back," the Autumn councillor, Denia, said.
-------"And to stop what is happening with the seasons and all these monsters." The councillors say together.

-------Looking at each other, the five kids step forward to the portal. "Renel Yenorel" They thank the councillors, following Arthur's lead. The councillors smiles and gestures at the portal. This is their cue. They grab hands, Maria holding Eveline and Derek's hand, and walk towards the portal.

-------With one breath and a hesitant last step, they are though the portal and in a forest, filled with fireflies. They let go of each other's hands and walked forward, they were in for some wild times. That was for sure, but they were going to enjoy the peace of the moment. Hopefully it lasted long.

-------"Now who's scared!" She laughed, but she was scared herself, "Everyone, backs up to each other in the circle!"

-------They followed her and three more pair of eye appeared. A set for each of them. Perfect, evenly matched. Maria thought. Then, the creatures jumped out of the trees and the five teenagers jumped back, closing their eyes.

-------"I'm to young to die!" Rachel screamed, "Please, I'm only sixteen!"

-------Maria slowly and tentatively peeled her eyes open. But what she saw in front of her was not scary creatures, or for that matter, not even something that looked big enough to eat them. They were little colorful fluff balls in bright shades of pink, purple, blue, green, and yellow.

-------"I'm going to keep one!" Rachel said excitedly, "I call the purple one."

-------"Wait, how do you even know these creatures are safe?" Arthur, being the way he is, said in a snobby tone, "I mean, they could try to eat you. In your sleep. Tiny, but mighty?"

-------"Pretty sure that's not what 'tiny but mighty' means. And, those are Lumiflorans. Little fluff balls, harmless. They also make good adventure companions." Derek said, scooping up the green one into his arms. "I'm sort of really into magical animals."

-------Maria nodded, "Right, with that settled, I am taking the yellow one. What adventurers use these little harmless fluff balls? What would they help with?"

-------"Tyler Menserato? You guys know about him right? Of course you do! He went on so many quests." Derek looked at their black faces. "How do you not know who Tyler Manserato is? Anyway, he has a Lumifloran, red and named Faren. They go on adventures, and somehow, the Lumifloran helps defeat... monsters."

-------"Monsters?" Eveline said, hugging the pink Lumifloran close to her chest, "I hope we don't run into any monsters on this quest!"

-------Arthur rolls his brown eyes and crosses his arms, a struggle with the blue creature in his arms, "Oh please! You come on a quest and expect not to have to fight monsters. You do know that whatever is doing this to the season obviously is a monster so duh there are going to be monsters."

-------"Ok well I didn't exactly sign up for this, so yeah, I can tell their will be monsters but like not exactly what I was expecting Mr. I'm a Councillors son so I'm better." Eveline said, annoyance laced in her voice, much to the surprise of the others, Eveline seemed like the quiet kid who would calmly and politely voice their opinion. Guess not.

-------"Guys, guys!" Maria stepped between the two who were glaring at each other, "Come on, we are going to have to spend weeks together can we not fight the first day? Be happy, you get cute little pom-pom like creatures as pets!"

-------"Companion!" Derek butted in, "More meaning then pet!"

-------"Um thanks... Derek. Companions! See, you have new cute little companions. But seriously Arthur, please do try to be more of a team player and not point out every small mistake." Maria smiles. "Now, can we please keep walking? It about to be night and we are going to want to be in a nice clearing, so that if there is actual monsters, and not cute fluff balls, we can see them better."

-------"Sounds good to me! Rachel exclaims, "You heard the Adredra Marelo, alamore! Come on! We got a monster to catch!"

-------"Yeah, and the trip to Ei Malcrano re Maro will take forever if you guys keep bickering like an old married couple with stupid and pointless arguments." Maria said.

-------"You're right," Artur declared, much to everyone's surprise, "Our argument was stupid and it started way to fast But that it how I am. I will try to not sound as snobby. I guess..."

-------"Woah, never thought you would say that! Even though I've only known you for a little while, you know!" Rachel exclaimed.

-------"I should, also apologize. Anyway, sorry, I don't normally go like that." Eveline laughed, "Maria's right, we do need to find a good place to stay for the night, let's go."

-------Eveline and Rachel put their arms around Maria and started walking, all three of them smiling, this was turning into a weird adventure, that's for sure. Derek and Arthur looked at each other. They both tried putting their arms around each other different ways, each way just as awkward, ending with a shake of hands and a laugh. "Yeah no, maybe later in this quest!" Arthur said.

-------"Yeah" Derek said smiling, "Maybe."
