Karime had finished shopping for her school supplies and had a few gallons left now. But as she was heading out of Diagon alley with her older brother Jaxon and their parents they passed the Magical Menagerie. Karime gasps as she goes to the window and sees all the pet animals in cages or glass containers. She looks at her parents and says “Puedo comparar un animal?!!”. Karime gave the puppy eyes as when she really wanted something she does this and speaks in spanish. Her parents look at her and shake their heads saying that they have pets at home already and that I don't need one. They say I can just take Luis, the snow owl that my brother has and is still alive.

This makes Karime upset and she says “Pleeease”. She pouts as she looks inside at all the kids buying pets. She has always wanted her own cat. Her parents sigh and her mother says “If you have enough for one then you can but if not then we're leaving”. Karime's parents look at her brother and ask him to take me into the store. So she and her brother Jaxon enter Magical Menagerie and see all the animals. Karime feels her eyes sparkle as she looks at all the cute pets. Owls, Pygmy puff, toads, lizards and cats. Karime rushes to the cats and sees so many cute ones but one catches her eyes and she feels drawn to it

Its a Gray Mackerel Tabby cat. Karime does love black cats and orange cats but gray cats are her favorite and she sees one of them with these bright green eyes and she just feels a spark. She looks into her pouch and sees she only has 5 galleons left. She looks at the price and sees she is short as it cost 10 galleons. Karime frowns and softly says “Lets go”. Jaxon looks at Karime and feels bad. He hates seeing her sad and sigh as he stops her and says “Wait” Karime looks to her brother as he hands her 5 galleons of his own. But mom knows I don't have enough and-”. Jaxon cuts her off as he says “I wont tell her okay. How about a present from me to you for making it into Hogwarts”. He smiles and ruffles her head. Karime grins and smiles as she gets excited and hugs her brother and says “Thank you” over and over.

They go to the counter and talk to the shop keeper as Karime gives the money to them and points to the grey cat. “I want that one please”. Jaxon asked her what she was going to call it and Karime thought about it. “Hmmm I'm going to call them Comet”. She looks to her brother as he smiles and they walk out of the store. Karime holding Comet tight and stroking his fur.
