L1: Void of the Darkness
LESSON 1 | The Nature of the Dark Arts {Imps + Periculum & Verdimillious}
Rushing to my next class, I barely made it there on time. I hurried to my seat and sat down while I set myself stuff on the desk. Going from History of Magic to Defense Against the Dark Arts was a challenge- especially if you had no idea where you were going. What were we gonna learn about? I honestly forgot. Did they even tell us? I glanced around the room, huge windows, a tall ceiling, lots of space with little lighting all around.
I glanced down at my book…The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection. I opened the book, intrigued. Scanning the book, I took notice of the first lesson: The Nature of the Dark Arts. I took some paper out and started taking notes and doing my assignment.
As I was writing down things and reading the lesson, I was getting more and more immersed in the book. I learned that The Dark Arts are any form of magic primarily used to control, harm, or kill living beings, often for selfish or malevolent purposes. It was interesting to learn what it was and how it could affect others.
After, I got my books together and left the class to go to my next one. I was getting pretty hungry. I couldn’t wait to eat and relax.
