Goodbye muggles, hello Hogwarts!
“Well goodbye to the most mundane and annoying muggles I have ever met, and hello Hogwarts!” Poppy snickered as she entered an empty compartment. She loved her muggle family, even her best friend, but she hated quite a few of muggles who made her life miserable while at primary school. It’s not that she was disliked or hated by the muggles at her school, but instead they thought she was odd or weird due to her constant need to be competitive and jealousy of her twin sister.
This was finally the time that Poppy could thrive and be her own person, as much as she loves her twin, her sister was always stealing the spotlight and Poppy felt she never had her moment. Poppy did feel a flash of guilt as she crossed through the platform only moments before, as this was the first time in her life she was without her twin sister. She promised her sister that she would bring back souvenirs, and maybe a good story or two.
“Any sweets, dear?” A kind older lady was pushing a candy cart and stopped outside of her compartment. Poppy brightened up and immediately started nodding. Being muggleborn, she wanted to try everything that a wizard might have in their day-to-day life. This new world was captivating for her and she couldn’t wait to fully immerse herself in it. “Yes please! Can I try the… jelly beans?” She asked lifting an eyebrow. “No- no… no… no… the chocolate frog!” She looked up at the kind lady in awe. Poppy barely was even hungry, excitement was eating away inside of her. However, moments later she was munching on both ‘jelly beans’ and a ‘chocolate frog,’ little did Poppy know that her chocolate frog would start jumping all over her compartment and the jelly beans really weren’t that good. However, they sure were entertaining.
Poppy looked around a little bit outside of the compartment, peeking through the door. She hoped someone would come into her compartment and she could possibly make a new friend.
