Rules:

Many of you may know MAFIA before, if not, it's OK! So basically, I assign you a role: Villager, Mafia, Actress, Helper, or Police. There is one Mafia, one Villager, one Helper, and one Police Lady/Man. The rest will be villagers. All roles are described to your right.
Then, I announce the start to round 1. Everyone who signed up will post to say that they received a role. Then, villagers fall asleep. ( Not literally! )
The Mafia will owl me who they want to 'Kill'. While the Actress tells me who she wants to mute. The Helper who she wants to save, and the Police who they want to kill. Villagers wake up, and I announce who is dead and muted.
Everyone votes out the Mafia (murder) apart from the dead or muted. Then, the person with most votes shows their card (I will send it to you) and they are OUT of the game. Aim of the game: Villagers, Police and Helper want to make Mafia and the actress out of the game. Mafia and Actress want not to be voted out or killed. A bit confusing...

Mafia:

When I say so, owl me on who you want to kill, out of the rest. I, of course, will inform you who is the actress. They are on your side, and are helping you. You are allowed to kill them, of you wish. Aim of the game to act innocent, stunned and not get killed by police or get voted out. Make sure no one suspects you! In your turn, you can kill no one if you like.

Actress/Actor:

You are on Mafia's side. When I say so, owl me on who you would like to mute. The person then cannot speak in THIS ROUND ONLY or vote (pretty useful!). Your aim of the game is for Mafia not to get killed by the police or voted out. I will owl you who the Mafia is. On your turn, you can mute no one if you like. You are also allowed to mute yourself (everyone suspects you less) or Mafia if you wish. You cannot mute someone twice in a row.

Police:

Reducio
You have to try kill the Mafia. You are on the Helper's, and Villagers' side. Your aim of the game is to kill the Mafia. I do not inform you who any of the players are. You are allowed to kill yourself... if you wish. Dead people cannot be brought back to life in any way, and have to show their card. You can kill no one if you like (if you are unsure for now, or just feel good this turn )

Villager:

Reducio
You are on the Police's, Helper's, and the rest of the Villager's side. Your aim of the game is to vote out the Mafia. You cannot kill, mute, or help. You can only vote, (unless you are dead or muted)

Finally, Helper:

Reducio
You can save people from their death (before they die), when I say so you choose someone and owl me (you can choose yourself, you can choose no-one twice in a row) and if they happened to be killed by Mafia or Police, they still live. I do not say that they have been killed but saved. Your aim is to save the good people and vote out the Mafia and their Actress/Actor.

Remember, this game is totally IC, so you can pretend you heard noises or something, when you vote (You don't have to vote, but if you do you have to explain an IC 70 word minimum reason why),

New rule: You DO have to vote now, because we had the thing where no one voted in a round. But now there is a 40 IC word minumum, instead of 70. There is no maximum. You ARE allowed to change votes after you've heard someone else's mind, but don't post again, just edit your own post, for example:

I want to vote out Katie, because last night she kept smiling too much, and didn't look too horrified when they announced the murders this morning to the villagers. Also, once the Actress was found out, Katie looked remotely upset, and I noticed that the Actress had never muted her so far, so maybe they had decided that by owl. Also, she is always very convincing, so I think maybe her preference had been Mafia. That is why I vote out Katie.

, but you can base it on real facts, for example in the one above, Katie had never been muted yet, so that was their motivation.

This is the point of Mafia, so... make good decisions, mute well, think, and HAVE FUN!!

* one question: so in the first round there won't be any clue of who is what position except Mafia and Actress know each other right? So how can we know who we're suppose to vote? (the mafia version I played is so different from this one
