What is a 'Seer'? PV to Arya St.Onge Closed

DISCLAIMER: I received permission from Arya St. Onge to control her character in this specific reply.

The smell of wet grass overwhelmed her senses. She was in the middle of a field, with wind blowing her robe, hair and skirt to the side. The sun beamed down on the Ravenclaw girl, and she looked around, confused thoughts flowing through her mind.

"W-Where am I?" She asked, seemingly only to herself. There was no one around her, but suddenly, a voice spoke up behind her.

"Well, you're in a vision," The voice said. Immediately, she turned around, her blonde hair getting in front of her face, causing her to pull it back away and out from her eyes. In front of her now was a brunette Gryffindor girl, who looked kind of familiar, but it was definitely no one that Felicity had met before.

"A vision?" The blonde questioned, tilting her head to her side out of habit. This dream felt exactly the same as the last one she had. Recently, these were the only kind she was having. Realistic ones. Were they even really dreams, though? According to this Gryffindor, it was a vision. What did that mean? She had a million questions to ask, but before she could ask all of them, the girl spoke up again.

"Yes, you have a rare ability - one that hardly anyone in the world possesses," She said, sounding much more wiser than she appeared. This confused Felicity, but she continued listening regardless. "You're one of the few that do. It's called Seeing. Your grandmother had the same ability."

"My grandmother? How do you know her?" Miss Greenwich asked, taking a few steps closer, only for the Gryffindor girl to raise her hand, causing the Ravenclaw to stop in her spot.

"Come any closer, and this vision may proceed to end. Now, let me explain," She held her the ends of her red and yellow scarf that was wrapped around her neck, looking almost hesitant to explain the situation to the blonde. What if she didn't realize what kind of responsibility this unique power brings to the witch or wizard that possesses it?

"Seeing is where you have a vision, much like this one, but into the future. I believe you've had one already - in the forest with your friend, Reid Kovacs."

 "Reid is not-"

"It does not matter who he is to you, Miss Greenwich. With this power comes great responsibility, some of which I do not believe you would be able to handle at such a brittle age. With visions, there comes great risk. Too much time in the stars could cause a Seer to become insane. Which is why I must leave now."

"No!" Felicity called out, springing up from her laying down position. Drat, she woke up before she could figure out who that girl was, and why she was in her dre- vision. Well, she did seem familiar, so perhaps she's seen her around before?  She had to find out. If she existed in the real world, then maybe she had the answers that Felicity seeked so much? She'd even resorted to books in the library, but she couldn't make sense of most of them, being in a different language, or symbols..

The girl looked around, taking in her surroundings. Ah, she was in the grass by the Great Lake. Not too close, but not far enough to consider it as a different region on the Hogwarts land. How come everytime she happens to have a vision, she is outside? At this rate, she ought to stay inside. But she doubted that would be what stopped said visions.

Getting up onto her feet, Felicity dusted herself off, and reached her hand in her pocket to make sure her wand was alright - an action that she was sure would become a habit with unexpectedly losing conscious like this. Hopefully, at some point, she would be able to learn how to control them.

Now, where was the best place to begin looking for this Gryffindor girl? Obviously, the Gryffindor common room, but she wasn't allowed in there, and it could result in her getting detention. She'd rather steer clear of that option. Well, a walk around the lake that was close to the school should confirm that the girl wasn't there, so she wouldn't have to come back later.

With that thought in mind, Felicity started to walk towards the edge of the lake, so she could take the shortest amount of time possible circling around it. Hopefully, she wouldn't have to search far for the girl.

Dear Lianna,

It has now been a full month since we started school. I really am missing you and wish to get an answer from you really soon. My life has been going slowly since my arrival to the school in September. I have attempted many classes and will continue to do so in the future of course. I am wondering what you could be doing? I wish to know how you are doing in your Muggle school! How are your class? Are they fun?

On another hand, how is our mother? I am thinking of maybe coming house during winter's break to see you. I asked father and he said it might be possible if he gets the approval of mother. I hope we can see each other soon!

Only for you,

Arya.

Arya has been in her common room all of the afternoons. It was a calm day with a calm temperature. The sky was clear and the young Gryffindor had decided to enjoy that time inside, at the side of her window which was open. At first, she had thought she could finally start some secret practice of a transfiguration spells she had found in her book but too many fellows were passing by. It was frustrating to not being able to be alone for a while. She always had someone close to her. Either she was passing times with her best friend Darius and Isaiah or she was helping someone that she had miraculously found during her search for a calm place. It was destiny she had thought. She was not necessary hating this situation, but she would have liked to enjoy the birds singing while reading her books. Maybe the best way to do so was not at her window in her common room, but directly outside.

It was that thought that made her get up from the ground while taking her material in her hand. She had taken out some parchment, her transfiguration spells, and her wand. She really wanted to practice that specific spell while she could. Once she was standing, the girl slowly put her wand in her uniform and bring her material with her. She walked to the frame door of the common house while greeting the fat lady and running through the stairs to quickly get to the ground. The young girl had loved her house since the beginning of the year. She was proud to be in Gryffindor. It was the only house she could have seen herself in. The hat as seen rightfully in his decision for her. She had the chance to meet incredible individual since her arrival and was happy with the development of the situation.

The young girl was then walking outside of the castle. She had finally reached the ground floor and decided to follow the trail to the Great Lake. She would then sit, back against a tree to practice her spells while the heat of the sun would warm herself. While walking in direction of a tree, she saw a girl laying down in the grass. She looked as if she was sleeping. It was a beautiful blond haired girl wearing the Ravenclaw uniform. Deciding to not disturb the young girl, she walked around her and continued her way to her destination.

A small wind was blowing from the east side. It was calming and relaxing. The perfect atmosphere for her to use some magical transfiguration spells. Even if the girl had never done any before entering Hogwarts, nothing could really stop her from trying to. It was why she would try her best at this. Maybe she would be able to perform one and start her training to become an expert in this kind of magic. The girl was smiling at those thoughts. She really wanted to become a professor of Transfiguration later on, but what she was really hoping for was to find a mentor to teach her the way to become an Animagus. It was her most important wishes and she would do almost anything to achieve it.

Arriving at her destination, the young girl sat done against the tree just as she thought she would do before and opened her transfiguration book on the right page. The Avifors Spell. It was a spell she had looked up in her book before. She had found it a great practice for her to start learning transfiguration. Therefore, when she was about to start practicing it, she saw the girl from earlier. The one who was sleeping on the grass. The beautiful girl was coming toward her and looked determined. Arya found it a little scary and was not sure how to react. She dropped her book on her kneel and looked up to the girl, right into her beautiful eyes. That girl had something familiar. The Gryffindor did not know what it was but she found her familiar as if she knew her.

- Hello miss! Are you looking for something in particular? You look kind of troubled!

This character is currently looking for her jar of Murtlap tentacles. If found, please return it to the owner.

"A month into the school year, and I've had two of these visions," Felicity grumbled to herself, kicking a pebble through the grass on her way, but she wasn't quite looking at the pebble. Instead, her eyes scoured the area in front of her - sometimes looking behind her to see if there was a chance that she missed a spot where the girl from her vision could be hiding. Is this what she meant by possibly going insane if in the stars for too long? Chasing after people who could possibly not even exist?

She was wrong about the girl not existing, though. In fact, she was lucky that she decided to stick close to the Great Lake for now, because she did come across a brunette Gryffindor. She wasn't for sure if it were the one from her vision, but it was worth a try! She could pick out her Gryffindor emblem that was emblazoned on to her robe from a couple of yards away. A look of determination set across her features as she stomped her way over to the girl, a little angry that she would just toss her out of the vision like that, without explaining more! How could she?!

I look kind of troubled? She asked herself in her mind, mentally rolling her eyes. On the outside, she just grinned. "Hi, I'm Felicity. I was looking for you, actually." She informed the girl once she had come up to her fully, and had taken a seat next to her at the base of the tree trunk. She wasn't quite yet decided on what to say after that, though. Surely, her reaction to her introduction would prove to Felicity whether she was aware that she had visited her in her vision, but something seemed a little off. As though she were.. out of character. The Gryffindor girl in her vision spoke with a voice as old as time. This girl did not. Odd.

"Sorry if I'm interrupting a study thing you have going on," She apologized, taking a glance down at the obvious Transfiguration book in the girl's lap. She had taken more than enough looks at that same book in the past months - she basically knew it off by heart - yet she was still terrible at the subject. Hopefully, she would be able to pass, though. Even if it was solely off of written knowledge rather than showing she can do it. Because, frankly, she couldn't. "But this could not wait. What is a Seer? And why do you think that I am one?" She asked all at once, though she did have more than just two questions - she had plenty.

"You said that I have visions, and you know my grandmother. You should at least answer me this not, should you not? I deserve that much after you left me so abruptly!" Oh - great, now she was just accusing her straight up of being the girl in her vision. But that was it - she looked exactly like her. So she must have been her! Sure, they don't sounds the same, but otherwise? They were.

Then again, it was highly probable that Felicity was insane. That was always an option. She almost shook her head at herself. She was fighting a battle with no one but herself. She looked back at the girl, taking notice of her pretty bone structure, and brown eyes for the first time. Hm, maybe she should be a little less condescending. She was just freaked out about what could possibly be her reality right now. Because at the rate things were going, her life really did change when she arrived at Hogwarts.
