We are calling you to join us for the 2025 Autumn Ball, The Enchanted Depths. On October 4th, the lake will be transformed into a mesmerising place, specifically enchanted for the students. With a shipwreck as the main event, and a glass dance floor hovering above the depths of the Great Lake, we bring you an enchanted sea fairytale at Hogwarts' doorstep.

Embark upon the wrecked deck adorned in fishing nets, precious pearls, and valuable treasures. Dance beneath the moon's glow and candlelight to sirens' songs, but take heed and do not listen too close, lest you find yourself under their enchantment and find your doom in the dark waters below.

Dress in your best, whether that be draped in elegant silks and sparkling accessories, or cloaked with more "pirate-esque" flair, and prepare for an evening of mysteries and secrets scattered like shells across the shore. The sirens are waiting either to guide you through clues or to hide the treasures in the depths from you. Will you dance with them, or will you drown in their song?

The sun has dipped low beneath the horizon, and night has fully settled over the troubled waters of the Great Lake. It is time to gather your crew, disguise your features, and embark upon an eventful journey.

For your greatest pleasure, we welcomed you aboard a ship of legend, a batiment thought lost to creatures of the seas: the one and only Lost Pearl. Home to renowned Captain Bartholomew Vane, its decks once withheld a plethora of jewelries and crystals of all kind, a treasure coveted across oceans. Though the ship has resurfaced, the treasure remains a mystery, awaiting for brave—or foolish— sailors to retrieve it from its pearled prison. Aboard the ship, you will find tables and seat for you to dine and converse, treated to a three-course meals with the finest ocean delicacies one can imagine.

If the idea of a pleasant conversation around oysters bores you immensely, if your feet are naturally drawn towards the melodious harmonies heard rising from the lake, then you would cross the deck to reach a secondary entrance, leading to an assortiment of platforms tied together, resting on the water's surface. There, music and laughter would be your only master, as you would be free to dance and waltz under the still glow of the moon. Though do guard your steps—some shadows lurk beneath the lake.

Should you not care for our warnings and find yourself lured into the waters and dragged beneath the waves, or should you be clever enough to figure out your own way into the depths, you will find marvels that goes beyond your wildest dreams. A pearled palace, one from which you must escape, or your bones might remain there forever. Though since you are already sunken, why not search for a certain drowned, long-lost treasure whole you're there.

THE ENCHANTED DEPTHS

As you have certainly understood, there are three different threads. To participate, you must be indexed. If you are not indexed yet, please apply here. Your character does not need to post in a thread to access another, all are free of access. IC speaking, your character would enter through The Lost Pearl to reach The Weeping Shore. The location of The Drowned Palace, as well as an additional clue to the treasure hunt, are hidden in The Lost Pearl. Your character doesn't need either to access or play the game, these are options adding to the atmosphere.
