Isabella skipped down the train corridors, for she was looking for a compartment that she could sit in. Isa finally spotted a compartment that she could sit in.

She walked into the compartment, and gasped. There was nothing special about the compartment, no. Same old worn seats, scuffed ground, and a high ceiling. She was gasping at the view. Grass and large trees flew (figuratively) past. A large lake was also spotted by Isa. She had never seen anything so beautiful in her life!

Isa sat down on one of the old seats, and she tore her gaze away from the window. She then realized that she had yet to put her luggage up, and stood up again to stow her luggage. She reached beside her for the book she had pulled out of her luggage.

She picked up the book. Isabella picked this book for a very specific reason. She was in the mood to read about fantastical beasts.

Isabella set down her book, and gently grabbed her water from her luggage. She was very thirsty, so she opened the top and took a big gulp of water. "Ah" she sighed, and put her water bottle back in her luggage. She then picked up, "Magical Beats and Where to Find Them" by Newt Scamander, and continued to read it.

Then, the door slid open and a person was standing there. Isabella looked up from her book. "Hello." She said.

Aaron wandered through the narrow corridors, squeezing past many students in the tight spaces. As he walked, he saw frogs, cats, and rats in every corner; and navigating those spaces with a suitcase in one hand proved to be a rather complex task.

Eventually, he arrived at a less crowded part of the train, where he found a cabin with a girl already seated and settled, reading a book. This particularly interested him, as he had read many books he bought in Diagon Alley while purchasing the necessary items on his list.

"Hello," she said.

Aaron was a little nervous, as talking to new people had never been his strong suit; but he was willing to work on it.

"Hi," was all he said, at least until he mustered the courage to ask the question he was so eager to ask. "What book are you reading?"

The next moment, the young boy finally entered the cabin and closed the door behind him. Being careful, he put his suitcase in the overhead compartment and set the cage beside him on the seat across from the girl.

And then, Aaron told her that he was focusing his reading on Hogwarts: A History, as he wanted to know everything about the school before he started there. He also wanted to know a little more about the houses, as he was exceedingly curious about which one the Sorting Hat would place him in. He secretly had a huge appreciation for Hufflepuff, but whenever he thought about it, he did his best to push those thoughts away, since he didn't want to influence the magical hat's decisions in any way.

And then, young Aaron realized something.

"I am sorry, but I just realized we haven't introduced ourselves yet. I'm Aaron Stone, and you are...?"

Just wanted to say, please do not say something like, "She showed him her book", unless I say that my character did that, because that would be controlling my character. If you ask if you can do that and I say yes, then go ahead! 😃 I wanted to fix things up.

"I'm Isabella Dín, but you can call me Isa or Izzy." Isabella said quietly. She was a little bit nervous, but she was warming up to this person.

She put her book down again. "So, is there a particular house you're hoping to get?" I hope that we can be friends. Isa thought.

She looked at Aaron. He seemed nice, and like a good friend. She then looked out the window. As Isa so often did, she pulled her hair around her finger.

"Do you know what a metamorphmagus is?" Isabella questioned Aaron. She wondered if it was weird to ask that randomly. Isa then thought of another question, "Are both-" she then stopped herself, wondering if it was rude. "Are both of your parents magical, or just one of them? Or neither?" She curled her hair around her fingers a lot, and she waited for answers to her questions.

Hahahaha i am soooorryyy, I'm still discovering how all of the roleplaying universe works

Aaron was amazed as he watched the girl’s hair change color and wondered how she did it. “How did you do that?” he asked. “Does it have something to do with a metamorphmagus?”

The young boy was nervous. In one of the books he bought, he had read about wizards being able to do strange things that Aaron had only seen in movies or fiction stories. He had also read about many spells and tricks being used for evil. The pages of his book had warned him that not all magic was benign. “Could a metamorphmagus be something bad?” he thought to himself, a knot forming in his stomach. He even considered if the girl was evil, but judging by her gentle expression, he concluded she wasn't.

The first time Aaron had ever seen another wizard was when he was shopping in Diagon Alley; he was still getting used to it. Of course, he had found out he was a wizard himself, but he never felt different upon discovering this. He had expected some sort of grand transformation upon receiving his letter—a feeling of power or a sense of belonging. Instead, he was far too frustrated to realize he was still the same awkward, gangly boy, now with the added burden of trying to fit into a world he knew nothing about.

But now, being face to face with another witch, even though he knew it didn't necessarily mean anything bad, he still felt a mix of fear and discomfort. “She can't think I'm weird, or she might start rumors. I need to act natural,” Aaron thought, a jolt of anxiety running through him.

“Well,” he said, trying to sound as casual as possible. “My parents aren't magical, just me. It was a complete surprise when I got my Hogwarts letter. What about your parents?”

And so he waited, now more at ease sitting on the bench, for young Isa’s reply.

"I have heard of metamorphmaguses before, and I really would like to be one. It seems fun, to me. My dad is a muggle and a doctor. My mom is a witch who works in the Department of Mysteries! I would love to become an Unspeakable or something else sometime!" Isa smiled. She was happy that Aaron seemed nice.

Isa reached forward to grab her book, while saying, "You can also call me Bella, if you like. Whichever one you want. I also really like books, especially ones about magical creatures and dark wizards."

Bella opened her book, which was still "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". She paused the reading of her book, and she stood back up, then paused so that she could grab her book from the seat. She decided to grab a different book, so she stood on her toes to reach the luggage rack.

Bella put "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" back and pulled out a muggle book called, "Amari and the Despicable Wonders" (real book, I give credit to the author, B.B. Alston)

Isabella sat back down and began to read this book, while she awaited more answers. She liked talking to Aaron.

Aaron leaned back against the old velvet of the compartment bench, the rhythmic clickety-clack of the Hogwarts Express lulling his mind into daydreams. He pressed his forehead to the cool window glass, watching fields blur into forests and rolling hills fold into a distant mountain range. Everything he’d only read about in books and heard whispered at his Muggle school was unfolding beyond the glass. He imagined himself stepping off the train, wand in hand, and feeling the ancient stones of the castle beneath his fingertips for the first time.

His thoughts drifted to the Great Hall, its enchanted ceiling shimmering with a thousand stars mirroring the night sky, candles floating above like suspended fireflies — as he read in Hogwarts: A History. He pictured the long wooden tables piled high with roast potatoes and treacle tart, and himself nervously scanning the faces of fellow first-years for a friendly smile. Would the Sorting Hat place him in Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff—or the house he dared not wish out loud, Slytherin? The anticipation felt like a warm glow in his chest.

Aaron imagined classrooms lit by flickering candles, the hiss of potion steam rising from copper cauldrons, and the thrill of mastering his first levitation charm. He saw ghosts drifting through corridors, whispering secrets of hidden passageways. He pictured broomsticks soaring above the Quidditch pitch and laughter echoing in the common rooms. His parents, proud Muggle teachers, would never fully understand this world of mystical wonders, but he would learn it all—one spell at a time.

And Aaron was happy to have a new friend; he looked at the trees outside and lost himself in daydreams of what his life at Hogwarts would be like, until he finally arrived at the castle, heading to the Sorting Hat ceremony.
