Elizabeth had just entered the great hall, at her side there were plenty of first-year students. The young girl carefully observed the whole room and recognized one by one the tables of the 4 houses. Her eyes then fell on the Slytherins' eyes, she immediately saw her two older brothers looking at her with an evil eye.
Elizabeth had just entered the great hall, at her side there were plenty of first-year students. The young girl carefully observed the whole room and recognized one by one the tables of the 4 houses. Her eyes then fell on the Slytherins' eyes, she immediately saw her two older brothers looking at her with an evil eye.
Elizabeth was afraid that if she didn't go to Slytherin, her brothers would be very angry. The whole family was going to Slytherin, except for her mom who was a Ravenclaw.
When her name was called, Elizabeth stepped forward, and the Sorting Hat was placed on her head. After a few seconds he declared "Ravenclaw". Elisabeth's heart missed a beat, she was in Ravenclaw like her mother but out of the corner of her eye she saw her two brothers look half angry half disappointed.
No longer caring for her brothers, Elizabeth went to the Ravenclaw table, where she sat down to the cheers of her new comrades.
Deciding in order to learn more about Ravenclaw, Elizabeth pulled out a small paperback book about Ravenclaw and began reading it.

Yash entered the Great Hall of Hogwarts. The place he heard great and interesting stories about from her dad since he was a kid. He looked around observing the floating candles, the interesting roofs and the gaint hour glass with the 4 legendary house on it, The Gryffindors, The Slytherins, The Ravenclaws and The Hufflepuffs.
As his names was called, he went to stage and sat on the stool. The Sorting thought for a minute and then yelled "RAVENCLAW!!" his mind flashed back to the moment when my dad said, "I was a Ravenclaw, Yash and I believe you will be too."
He went to the table of Ravenclaw thinking his dad believe that he am Ravenclaw but he heard that the Ravenclaws are the most intelligent and with a proud and smug smile he sat next to a girl. He saw her reading something and leaned over her shpulder to see. He says, "I know that Ravenclaw is the house of intelligent people but please!!! Don't be a such a nerd." He then adds with his usual teasing voice, "By the way, I am Yash and you got really good blonde curvy hair and blue eyes. So, what's your name?"

Elizabeth was immersed in a chapter about the great Quidditch champions of Ravenclaw. She was about to start a new page when the chairs next to her were pulled out, and a young boy sat down next to her. Almost immediately, he leaned over her shoulder and told her that even though Ravenclaw was the house of intelligent people, she didn't have to be an intellectual. Then he told her his name was Yash and that he really liked Elizabeth's long, curly blond hair and blue eyes. He asked her what her name was. The young girl turned to him, partly flattered and at the same time a little angry. She said,
"First of all, I'm not an intellectual, but rather someone who cares about the house they're in. Second, I thank you for your compliments. And my name is Elizabeth, Elizabeth Hamilton."
The girl looked at the boy, his skin a little brown and his hair silky and smooth. After answering Yash, Elizabeth went back to her book and was able to finish her chapter. She tried to defend her by saying she is not a intellectual person but rather cares about the house which made Yash think, "She got a point.... But still, we have just entered Hogwarts. I guess we should chill a little first." He never was a person to be too serious but a person who preferred solving problems in a relaxed manner then doing extensive research as Elizabeth was doing.
The way she got angry and flustered together, made her looked even more cute. This reaction made Yash more eager to tease her and get same reaction. He was feeling a strange connection of frinedship with her dispite the fact that he was teasing her.
He says with a teasing smirk, "So Elizabeth, you must be knowing the whole history, geography and everything about Hogwarts by now. I bet, you can skip this year as well, as you might be knwoing all the spells, potions and everything beforehand.
He has grown in a household where everything is showed not just with love but also teasing and fun. His father and mother, both are witty and fun loving parents making him witty, a quick thinker and really smart mouthed. It's like a inherited characteristics of Yash.

Yash said she should relax a little; they'd only just been sorted. Then he added that Elizabeth had to know all of first-year geography and spells, and that she could skip first year. Elizabeth turned to him and gave him an icy look, saying,
"Some people don't have the choice to know everything, and for me, it's just out of curiosity. I don't know all of geography or all of the spells, otherwise there's no point in me being a first year or even at Hogwarts!"
Elizabeth hated being criticized, even if it was in a gentle way, but she had to get used to it because at Hogwarts, a lot of people would do it. She glanced at Yash, then with a sigh, she said,
"Sorry for being violent, but I'm not used to it. I grew up without much contact with people my own age. It wasn't meant badly."
Apologizing wasn't something Elizabeth was used to doing either, but things had to change when she arrived at Hogwarts; she had to adapt. At Hogwarts, she was going to make friends, but also enemies. That was what Elizabeth was most looking forward to when she returned to Hogwarts, was to finally have friends!

Elizabeth snaps saying that he want to know more is becuase of curosity, and she doesn't know anything. She soon realised that she might have over-stepped and apologized saying she wasn't around people her age too often.
He felt a pang of guilt thinking he over-stepped her boundaries. But something about how she snapped and quickly added how she apologetic about it made him first calm her down then say anyhing further so he did so but by adding his own way to it as well.
Yash looked at wide eyed as she snapped and apologized before bursting into laughter. He laughted so hard that tear came into his eyes. He wiped his tears and pour some water for her in a glass and slide it towards her saying with a softness, "Relax!! I was just joking... Sorry if I over-stepped any boundary. I didn't mean it in a bad way." He gave her a small smile.
He was definitely witty and a smart mouthed person but he was not a bad person from heart and just liked teasing in general. He sometimes had problems with boundaries as in her family, everyone was very open and deeply connected to each other with almost nothing to hide. This taught him to be like that, but now as he is in Hogwarts, he needs to learn that as respecting boundaires is essential.

Elizabeth looked at Yash and considered his last sentence as the end of the discussion. But a part of her regretted having been so cold and mean to the young boy, he hadn't done anything after all he was just a Ravenclaw who was getting to know other Ravenclaws. Elizabeth looked at Yash and thought that she should apologize one day or another or even and maybe even become his friend. Elizabeth hopes to have several friends and if she started being mean like that to the first one who addresses her, she is not likely to have many. Since she was little, the young girl has had so little contact with children her age that she has a little trouble accepting all the people who are around her, almost 1000 students
