First summer camp and already lost? (OPEN)
(Timeframe: 12 PM August 6 till curfew August 6)

Madelynn was walking through the big quidditch stadium, her eyes big. Her aunt Poppy had brought her here and Madelynn had just signed up for tents. She didn’t really know the people that she had been put in a tent with, which was obvious. She was only a first year after all and her first year hadn’t started yet. This was the first time Madelynn would be someone without her family for so long. She felt homesick easily so she hadn’t really succeeded at sleepovers with her old friends often. And her old friends didn’t really reach out to her anymore as Madelynn had moved away to live with aunt Poppy.

Madelynn wanted to find some new friends, so she wouldn’t start Hogwarts without knowing anyone. Though she was slightly cautious of people and she was also a very quiet person. She’d have to step out of her comfort zone. She walked around, trying to approach groups. They all seemed so… intimidating… to Madelynn. Even if they were friendly, the young girl wouldn’t know where to start with a conversation. She could of course start with a topic of philosophy or the law book. Or perhaps the history of Hogwarts. She brought all those books with her after all. But she didn’t know if other people would like it and she didn’t want to bother them.

At some point, Madelynn decided to give up on making conversation for a while. She had found a new purpose; cleaning. She saw some messy spots so she wanted to clean them. She knew the staff of this camp was most likely already super busy and she wouldn’t want to leave all the work to them. She knew that she had to do her part, or that’s how she felt about it. So Madelynn quietly took some cleaning equipment and started cleaning. She completely started to get lost in her own thoughts as she did what she did best: helping others. It was a passion she had, as long as she wouldn’t be discovered. She did not like to be seen.

So Madelynn cleaned, a long time. She hoped she wouldn’t get noticed and that people would just walk past her. She didn’t want to stand out, not with her parents being criminals and her being their kid. She hadn’t known what they had done at the time, but she did feel incredibly guilty about it. Her parents had murdered muggles, just for the sake of murdering muggles. She did not feel okay about that at all. She hoped to learn many spells at Hogwarts and maybe one day become an auror. She wasn’t sure if she had the capability to be one, but she’d certainly try.

“Wait a minute!” Madelynn suddenly said, her high pitched voice being loud as she got jump-scared. She thought she saw someone and she immediately hid behind a random chair. Then started to run until she was far enough. “Calm down Madelynn, it was probably just your imagination,” she said. Though then she realised she had no idea where she was anymore. She looked around confused. However, she knew she still had time before she had to go to bed so she started to clean again.
