Getting Supplies...Bah Humbug!
Ashrael was walking out of Gringotts thinking of where she wanted to go next once she got her money. She took out the list that had the supplies she needed. After reading it over a few times she knew that the Flourish and Blotts was where she wanted to go first. She had a lot of books she needed to get. It was best to get it over with so she wouldn’t forget later. She walked into the shop and noticed a few customers who were also getting books. She wasn’t sure where to go but she was not one to really ask questions. She was always determined to figure things out on her own.
She had a big bag with her that she planned to use to carry all the books and the rest of her supplies. There was no way she could carry it on her own. Especially with Minnie her chaperone off doing something else. Ashrael liked being alone. It is what she preferred since people tend to get in her way and annoy her. She could hear the excitement from some boys who were looking at some of the required books. Ash would roll her eyes with annoyance because she thought the boys were too loud. She took a big breath and said “Calm down Ash, just ignore them.” she really didn’t like being around people. She didn’t trust them nor did she want to interact with them.
After finally waiting for the boys to buy their books, she got hers and couldn’t wait to get out of the store. She hated shopping. She didn’t know how some witches go nuts and stay in a shop for hours on end. She headed to the apothecary next to get the plants. This she hoped would be a more soothing experience. She thought maybe people wouldn’t hang about in a plant shop. When she went in she saw how crowded it was. She exasperated with a deep breath. “Why on all days did I have to come today?” She closed the door a bit too hard and people jumped up and turned to see who slammed the door. She gave a snarl of irritance before going to find her needed ingredients. She did like the plants. They never annoyed her. It was one of the things she liked because it reminded her of her mother.
After the Apothecary she went to the other shops and got what she needed. She would hang around to look at the animals. She wanted a cat that was in a cage. She thought the kitty was lonely. She would wait to ask her dad if she could get more money out to bring the kitty to Hogwarts with her. It’s the least he could do. She checked off the list of things she had bought already. “The only things left are my robes and my wand. I will get my wand last since I want to make sure I get the most perfect one. “ It was the first time she got excited about anything related to Hogwarts.
