Dark Obsession in Ottery St. Catchpole

This thread has MS elements that Jacob is aware of, but is more geared toward Jacob's obsession, but will be touched on briefly
The obsession has only grown. Jacob has not given himself any food, sleep, or anything that would be considered normal behavior for a kid his age.
He had pictures of different places and things he had seen, the Hogwarts Express attack, the Arrest of Harry Potter, and, at the center of the wall was a picture of Thaddeus Athanatos. He knew that these places were connected somehow. He couldn't shake the feeling; he couldn't, he couldn't.
The door whooshed open, and none other than Jacob's mother burst into the room. He guessed why she was there from the second that she walked into the room; he knew that glare for a while now.
"Let me guess, this an intervention?" he said bored with this, he heard it all before. It wasn't the first time that they had this conversation and he thinks this won't be the last. Oh, how wrong he was.
"This is the last time that we are going to have this conversation, because I have had ENOUGH!" She gave in a commanding tone on that last part so that he knew she was having enough. Then calmed down, saying. "Of your behavior, and I swear to God if you give another word otherwise, then I will have a mental health expert give you a therapy session, and I swear if you leave before they arrive. Then I swear -that- will be the last time I see you. And I swear, boy. That will be the last mistake you ever make."
Behavior... this was something that she would never allow until he was old enough to leave the house on his own. So he had to make a choice, and she even said as much. "So you either allow this to be a cold case for a little while, and move on with your life." She paused for dramatic effect, making sure he was listening. "Or get out."
He hated to admit it, but unfortunately, she was right. He had no choice now. He would have to have this be a cold case. This was a wake-up call. He had to let it all go. So he did. He took down pictures of the place and allowed it to be a cold case. He will have to move on with his life.
