Getting the Gold!
It was a cloudy day as Ashrael was set to side apparate with one of her chaperones who her father placed in charge of her. Minnie was her name and she was so annoying to Ash. She was a busy body who always thought Ashrael was up to something and didn’t trust her. They arrived in Diagon Alley without any issues. Ash didn’t like side apparating because it made her feel woozy. She collected herself then turned to Minnie. “May I go get everything I need alone. I’m not a baby you know.” she said with a slight attitude. Of course she didn’t mean to come off rude, but she hated being treated like a little kid. Surprisingly Minnie told her she could go off on her own as long as they meet up at the Leaky Cauldron later. She said she had some things to take care of herself anyway. With delight Ashrael smiled and nodded then took off to Gringotts to get her money.
She walked into the Wizarding Bank looking around seeing all the Goblins look up at her before returning to their tasks. When she got to the front of the desk where a goblin with a particularly gruff sounding voice looked down at her. “Name is Ashrael Denmark of the Cambridge Denmarks. I would like to enter the family vault please.” she said before giving the special key that helped unlock it. The goblin obliged and motioned for another goblin to take her down to her family vault. This goblin was smaller and had a higher pitched voice. He seemed to rush her a bit trying to get her to head straight away without hesitation.
They rode down in the mine carts where her family vault was. The ride was fast and very bumpy. They swerved and swayed which almost made Ashrael sick. Her family didn’t have a dragon to protect their vault, although her father had mentioned getting one at one time. It appeared he never did because they were able to head there with no dragon in sight. Instead the goblin had a special way of opening the vault. He slid his nail down where the locks were in a specific way like a code. All the locks on the large door unlocked, then the goblin used the key that Ashrael gave him.
The door opened up and within it was a large sum of gold that seemed endless to Ash. She grabbed what she needed before telling the goblin “I’m done, let's go!” They took the mine cart back, making Ashrael feel sick again. She wished there was another way to get in and out of the vaults. A way that didn't make her sick. They returned to the main area of the bank. Ashrael had the money safely in her pocket and walked out of the bank faster than how she walked in. Gringotts was a weird place to her. Maybe because the goblins were in control of it. She didn’t particularly like goblins. They were just weird to her. She was glad to get out of there and start her shopping.
