Louca had thrived on the chaos that came from all of the schools gathering together. He had recognized quite a few faces, and spoken to a few that he knew well, and it wouldn’t come as a surprise who some of his tentmates were. But now came the most important moment, choosing the tent. The themes were imaginative as they always were, and Louca was enjoying looking them over, though he hadn’t come across one that he really felt was truly their tent.
Dashing forward, he called out to the rest of his tent-mates in joy at the most amazing tent he had found. “Hey! I think this should be our tent!” His voice rose higher in volume as he swung his arm towards a tent with a sleeping dragon guarding its entry. “It’s too cool not to be! We need to have this tent.” Looking closer, he squinted, catching sight of the traditional tent flaps in between the dragon’s front paws. Grinning widely, he darted forward, waiting to see if there was some sort of protection that the dragon would give or if it was more to add a thrill of danger.
Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately from the young daredevil’s perspective, there were no flames, or paws with sharp claws that darted to swat the intruder away. But then he was distracted by the inside. Looking up, what he assumed was the tent roof echoed the sky outside which would be handy for figuring out how to dress each day. And he could only imagine the stars that would come out at night. Louca wondered if it would even capture meteorites if there were going to be any meteorite showers during camp.
Prying his eyes away, he a few different bed styles, but couldn’t resist the Thunderbird one higher than the rest, and a dark blue. “I call the thunderbird one. It seems appropriate.” Bouncing over, he found a little ladder that allowed him to reach the bed. Throwing his things up, he scaled the small ladder and plopped down. Closer to the bed now, he could hear the faint crackling he assumed was meant to imitate thunder. “Alright, now we need to figure out a team motto, or something like that.”
His perch above, gave him a birds-eye view of the room, and he couldn’t wait to see the stars at night. They would be perfectly visible from his bed, and though he didn’t typically fall asleep on his back, he assumed this would be an exemption. Spotting the table in the middle, he slid down the ladder, bending his knees as he landed to absorb the shock. “Sweet! Candy, who doesn’t like candy? Wonder if they’re endless or if we have a limit.” Grabbing a fizzing fairy candy and a chocolate dragon egg, he pondered them before deciding the fizzing candy would be first. Finishing it in one bite, he made a slight sound at the fizzy feeling his mouth, before opening the chocolate egg and taking a bite, looking around to see where his tent mates chose to bunk.
