Oh, Boris was certainly happy to be accepted to Durmstrang, but he hadn't expected the shopping part. Shopping had always been boring to the boy; all that stuff to remember and figuring out which stores sold it. It was like a completely tangled mess of yarn. And Boris hated it. Still, just being accepted was something.

But ultimately, the part about getting his broom was the best part. Since it was his first time buying a broom for school, he wanted to keep it simple; a Nimbus 1001 would definitely do the trick. So, joining the broom racing team was his first goal as soon as he started school. His other relatives' children had already done the shopping last year. Plus, since no cousins were starting school with him this year, he was free from the large family group.

But when he finally came to this shop to buy a pet, he felt even more excited than he had when he bought a broom. After all, this was a living creature, and one that would accompany him throughout school. He still hadn't decided which creature he would leave this shop with. When they entered, his dad called out to him.

"My cousins' kids mostly got owls, Also your favorite cousin... I suppose she bought a ferret . You can check the ferret if you want."

Boris nods his father's suggestion. Yes, most people might want owls, but he figured cats were popular, and Alliasta always went and found something different. Boris nodded and headed over to the ferret section. Oh, they were all so lively and so playful. Just like his cousin's character, but after a moment's thought, Boris decided that wouldn't work for him, so he walked a little further. Then, in the sunny part of the shop, he saw a section of lizards sunning themselves.

"Oh yes a dragon I want one."

Oh yeah, they weren't dragons, but they definitely looked like smaller versions of them. And that was cool, plus they have a calm nature, so they're perfect for Boris.

As he approached the lizards, one caught his eye: a blend of orange and yellow lizard. And like the others, it was sunning itself on its rock. It was a bearded dragon. Boris hesitated for a moment, because lizards liked warm places, and Durmstrang wasn't known for its warm weather. But he felt responsible enough to care for it, so he would definitely leave with little dragon and finish this shopping thing.
