It hadn’t even hit 10am and Falentra was already on argument number two with her father. It hadn't been anything serious, but the two were very much alike when it came to their stubbornness and ways, and Falentra hated, with a passion being told what to do.

The bell had rang when the front door opened. Customers already? Falentra cursed from the back of the shop but kept her cool because, well, she was at the back of the shop, away from customers and tending to paperwork that her father left her in charge of.

Out front, Arlo stood behind the counter, dressed smart and proper. His heavy black blazer weighed down his natural weakening form that came with age, yet his smile and charm made him come across as though he was still in his 30's. ''Good morning! Hello! Welcome to Alchemy Black!'' His pearly white teeth stood out against his tanned withered face and dark eyes that nobody would know actually matched his heart, or rather, soul─ if he had one.

They lingered on the woman with a hint of curiosity, sure of that he knew her face from somewhere. But it passed as quickly as it came. If it wasn't a name or face he remembered off the bat, they were obviously no use to him. Instead, they now lingered on the young boy that was with her. ''A fine young man you have here! Are you looking for anything particular? In fact.'' He would halt on his words and question, then shout out towards the back of the shop. ''Falentra! Come here!'' His charmingly false smile spread widely once more across his lips, now turning his attention back to his customers. ''My daughter will be with you both shortly. She's not long graduated from Hogwarts, so I am confident in her helping the young lad finding what he needs.''

Falentra took her sweet time coming forward. The papers were still in her hand, and unlike her father, she wore no smile. Customer service was not her strong suit, hence being put in the back. Her gaze would avoid her father, and instead land on the boy. She stared, longer than necessary before the clap of her fathers hands made her break contact. ''Well? Show the lad and lovely lady around Falentra. Now.'' She took a glance at him and tossed the papers on the worktop before stepping out from behind the counter.

''Hello. What can I, uh.. help you with?'' She asked, her tone flat yet oddly calm.

Her eyes finally set on the woman now, to who she gave a small smile. Like her father, she sensed an unusual feeling that she couldn't quite put her finger on. She looked familiar and now that she thought about it, so did the boy. Her eyes flickered once more to him, narrowing almost judgmentally yet curiously. ''What.. year are you? So I can advise better uh..'' Her hand waved towards the shelves of potions to her side, and her father watched on from the distance with a displeased look.
