Soon to meet up with @Minnie Duke at his aunt's bookstore/bakery in London

When not at his internship, Simon would spend a lot of this summer at his Aunt Maggie's bakery/bookstore in London. Crawford's was a cheerful gem of a place where the pastries are what brought people in and the bookstore was what made people want to stay awhile.

It was at such a time in the day where there was a lull in customers and the city momentarily felt hushed. Simon had just finished shelving some new releases when he glanced over to one of the cozy corners of the bookstore area and was surprised to see a familiar face. "Minnie?" he asked, approaching slowly and leaning a little to the right to try and get a slightly different viewpoint to ensure his guess was right. "Minnie Duke?" he was smiling as he came to her.

It had to be her. He'd know this fellow Hufflepuff anywhere. He met her amongst flying snowballs in the Courtyard and the two had stayed in contact since. "What should I call to order in this meeting of the Golden League? Shall this be like the Golden League Book Club or something?"

How refreshing it was to see a familiar face there from Hogwarts. He missed it there so much, especially after what happened on July 1st, that first night back. If only he was in possession of a time turner and could turn back time.

Simon glanced over to the corner of the room where there seemed to be some books that were scattered on the floor near one of the low laying round tables, but he could gather those up in a moment. Right now he needed to reconnect with a friend. Right now, he didn't realize anything was wrong.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

Minnie frowned as she tried to concentrate on her book, Quidditch Through The Ages. She had read it hundreds of times already, but it was always good to revisit a classic. Unfortunately, she couldn't focus on the words when all she could think about was the arguing coming from downstairs. Her mum was yelling at Aunt Hazel again. Usually the sisters were inseparable, but ever since her aunt had come home for the summer, they had been all yelling all the time. She felt guilty about them yelling, because they were usually arguing about her.

It had all started when Aunt Hazel suggested she join a secret society that all the family members were in. Minnie had immediately said yes, as she hated to break tradition. But her mum had told her that she was too young, even though her older sister, Lil, had joined in the summer before third year. Her aunt had began arguing with her mum about it, and they hadn't been on good terms since.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she decided that reading was not going to happen anytime soon and put the book away. Ice mice, I need to get out of here! She thought, frustrated. Maybe I can go to the bookstore! Books always calm me. Having decided to leave the loudness and anger of her house, she grabbed her satchel and walked out. As she was leaving, she bumped into her da, who was watering the garden. "Can I go to the bookstore Da?" She asked hopefully. He smiled understandingly, "Of course you can. I would have trouble being there too." He gave a sigh and smiled thinly at her. "I'm sure your mum and aunt will have calmed down by the time you're back."

With that, Minnie walked to her favorite bookstore, which was sort of a mix between a bakery and a bookstore. Today she didn't feel like buying a sweet treat, so she found a corner that was cozy and took out her book from earlier: Quidditch through the ages. As she was reading, she heard a voice call out her name. "Minnie Duke?"

She immediately looked up; she knew that voice! It was Simon Kincaid, a good friend of hers who had allied with her in a snowball fight and had been friendly ever since. She wasn't sure how she had managed to get a cool older year to be friends with her, but she certainly wasn't complaining. Simon was one of the nicest people she knew!

"Sure, the Golden League Book Club sounds good!" She replied, chuckling a little. All of the frustration and worries she had been feeling since summer started faded away. She had no idea how he was here, but she was glad to see his smiling face. "Speaking of good, it's good to see you! I had no idea you went to this bookstore too! How are you doing? Is summer going well for you?"
