Jacob and Liara were as thick as thieves, although there was tension between Jacob and his mother these days. Liara and Jacob were in the terms that others can clearly see, best friends. She would be given treats for good behavior which she most often did naturally.

She was a good pet, today was different, however, now even Liara was mad at him because his mother wouldn't let her hunt, because for the last several weeks, she brought the things she would hunt and was her nature.

"If you would just let her out, she needs to hunt." He paused for only a second. "It's her only source of food." His mother wouldn't hear it. "Jacob for the last time, I don't want her hunting, feed her some of the owl food I gave you."

Liara was cleaning her feathers by this point.

He did not give Liara, the meat she had prepared for her. His mother then rose to her full height and raised her voice saying, "I am your mother, I know your seventeen, but I say give her food!"

Jacob rose to his full height, which was much more considerable, raised his voice and said with his deep commanding voice. "No! She looks at me, saying, 'I would rather starve.' Now do you want me to have her starve, or are you going to allow her to hunt?" Liara hooted in fear, her wings were fluttering in the air.

His mother stared and then huffed saying, "Fine, but she is to stay as far away from me as possible while she's hunting. And you are to de-gnome the garden." Liara hooted in excitement, know that she was finally going to be able to eat proper food for the first time in a while. "Alright Liara, remember what Mum said. Don't be anywhere near her, when you go out hunting." Liara then flew as the cage was opened, ready to hunt, but she knew even then the rules she would need to follow and that was enough.
