Roses from the Heart
Roses from the Heart"HAPPINESS HELD IS THE SEED; HAPPINESS SHARED IS THE FLOWER."
John Harrigan
The Amaryllis of pride, the Bluebell of truth, the Rose of love. Each petal represents a flame in your soul, a fire in your heart, and, today, you get to take it home with you. Come one, come all, and share your emotions and your feelings with the stems of flowers. For what is more romantic than a rose sent from the heart? What is more innocent than a daisy from the soul?

The summer camp is in full swing. Among the horde of tents for the arts and booths expo, one tent stands out. Perhaps it is because it is a little further away from the others, almost in a little clearing, at the corner of the field. Perhaps it is the generous helping of flowers lining the top of the tent and the bottom. Perhaps it is the wafting floral fragrance that originates there. Whatever the reason, it seems to attract many who are fond of nature, or perhaps just curious.
Upon closer inspection, there are bees buzzing about, happy to pollinate the flowers. They remain on the outside of the tent, not willing to enter. Birds, too, are attracted by the lovely scent. The assortment of flowers stands out against the white of the tent. Certainly, they are the most interesting part of an otherwise plain tent, the flowers speaking for themselves, advertising the tent.
Upon entering, the interior of the unassuming tent seems a stark contrast to its exterior. There are tables and shelves lining every side of the tent, stocked full of flowers trying to escape their vases. The pale white cloth that forms its flimsy exterior allows an abundance of light to pass through. There is almost a warm, cozy atmosphere, despite the explosion of color everywhere. At first look, the flowers that produce it seem haphazardly arranged, but the more you observe, the more you realize they have an underlying organization to them. The person who set them would surely not get them mixed up.
The tent contains only one lantern, and it is placed upon the desk in the center. The right side of the desk is completely clear, save for the lantern, certainly a safety precaution. In the center lies a small notebook, next to a quill nestled in an ink pot. Upon the left are small pots with flowers. It is not clear whether these are for decoration or for sale. Set in front of them is a small board displaying the services and prices of the tent.
Seated at the desk, is a dark-haired girl, a 1st year at Hogwarts, who's bright eyes immediately spot people entering the tent. She is eager to talk, and just as eager to present her booth.
Behind her, on the row of shelves, flowers are not arranged separately. Instead, they are nestled in bouquets, awaiting their next owner. Those flowers are the only ones in the tent mixed together, but they have a careful arrangement to them, every stem shifted into its proper place.
The girl speaks. "Hello! Welcome to Roses from the Heart! See anything you like?" She sweeps her arm in a grand gesture encompassing the whole tent, from the individual flowers to the haphazardly arranged to the bouquets.
NOTE: Aside from the sheep, the tent is mostly like the image.

- If the thread has the Occupied tag, that means it is currently too full for new people to enter. I don't have a set number for this yet, but I will add it if I feel overwhelmed.
- I will provide back-and-forth RP, but please try to keep interactions short. As a general layout of how interactions will go:
Of course, interactions could be shorter or longer than this, but generally, this is not the place for a long RP.
- Your character enters. Lucille and your character interact and she explains the services of the tent.
- Your character picks a bouquet/bouquets.
- Lucille gives your character the bouquet they desire, and your character leaves.
- You are free to get a premade bouquet or a build your own bouquet done in a single post if you do not want me to respond, meaning your character enters, purchases a bouquet, and leaves, all in one post. Please follow the above guideline, and do not heavily godmod Lucille. This includes no direct quotes.
- Please don't RP the surprise bouquet in a single post. It's meant to be an interactive option and, after all, a surprise!
- Please specify what you're getting in an OOC note.
- When picking Surprise Bouquet, please fill this form at the bottom of your post. In character, you can either roleplay telling Lucille what you want, or filling a form.

Roses from the Heart

Maisie decided it was time for a break—running a booth was hard work—and she wanted to see what others had put together. Surely, there was some wonderful things her peers had put together if the rich colors of the tents and their contents was any indication.
The first tent she would visit was filled with flowers—just as hers was overflowing with fabric. It was like a florist shop in the city on steroids from the the scent to luscious way the flowers seemed to sculpt themselves around the booth. In the center was a single lantern and a young girl who seemed to greet her eagerly. Narrowing her eyes, Maisie was sure she recognized her—of course, the derby!
"Hey!" she greeted her, "You had that great hat at the Derby. I'm your neighbor, Maisie, just a few tents down. You've got an incredible booth." She gestured to the flowers everywhere. Some could recognize—a thistle, that's for certain—but others seemed exotic.
Picking up the list of services, she said, "Hmm, I think I'll build my own. I'd love to have some flowers to jazz up my booth." Maybe the scent would help pull more people in. She loved having Avis, of course, but Avis would visit regardless. Flowers might attract new footfall.

Lucille looked up brightly at the girl that entered, her brow furrowing as she tried to place where she'd seen her before. Considering Lucille was a first year, and didn't know a lot of people, it should've been fairly easy, but she had never had a knack for remembering faces. Finally, as the girl introduced herself, Lucille's eyes lit up in memory.
"Of course! I remember now! You had the elegant hat!" she said excitedly. Hearing that the other girl had a booth, Lucille perked up. She hadn't gotten the chance to go visit another booth yet, but she would surely visit Maisie's when she had the time.
"I'll come visit you soon. I haven't really been out yet, even though every booth looks so appealing." As Lucille spoke, she pointed to the decorative flowers on the desk. "These are some of the options I though would be most appealing. Of course, you're welcome to pick from the others," Lucille said, gesturing to the flowers aligning the shelves at the side of the tent.
She gathered some twine in preparation for Maisie's bouquet, ready to wrap it up however she wanted. There were a few different colors of paper in case Maisie wanted to give her bouquet a more decorative flair, but Lucille didn't reach for one just yet, deciding to wait until Maisie picked what she wanted.

Even though Jules was still heartbroken from not having his sister with him at the camp, he figured out getting something nice for her was a great way to cope with the separation, and after mentally preparing himself for the interactions he was going to have with the other participants of the camp and the booths owners he silently swifted out of his tent to have a peek and potentially get something to bring home.
Lucille’s booth was the first that really stood up and caught his attention, mainly due to the flower scent and all the flowers that bloomed in front of the tent, and prevented the young boy to recognize Lucille at first sight. She also seemed occupied with another girl that paid a visit to the booth, and for a few seconds he simply stood outside of the tent waiting for his turn.
He started peeking at what the girls were doing with the flowers, and suddenly he recognized Lucille. “Um.” he delicately tried to get Lucille’s attention without interrupting what she was doing, and was ready to keep waiting until she was free, giving him some time to look around and choose what he wanted.
The Surprise Bouquet felt like a fun surprise for Agnes, and as Lucille and the other girl were choosing the flowers, he took one of the forms to fill and get ready to hand it out to the owner of the booth.
“Hi. I’m… I’m going to get the Surprise Bouquet for my sister. She couldn’t come to the camp.” he mumbled with his typical French accent and a delicate voice, handing the form to Lucille and moving his gaze to the flowers, still a bit shy to actually have a proper conversation.

xxxLucille looked up when a familiar voice met her ears. For a second, it almost seemed as if the girl didn't recognize him, her brows knit together as she tried to place him. Suddenly, she remembered him, and their conversation a month ago. "Jules!" she exclaimed. She hadn't seen him since they'd bumped into each other at Madam Malkin's, so his approach was a welcome surprise.
As Lucille scanned her assortment of flowers, trying to pick what would fit his request, his words struck her as strange. The twins were inseparable the last time she met them, and so it was surpising Agnes wasn't here.
"Well, that's something I didn't expect from the pair of you. Where's Agnes?" she asked, as she finally seemed to make a decision and began gathering flowers, sliding them into their correct place, pausing sometimes just to stare at the bouquet in progress.
As she worked, she began to speak, describing every flower and their purpose as she did so. "Of course, it must be centered around alstromeria, the Peruvian lily. It's called the Flower of Friendship sometimes, because of its use to express your lasting bond." She added small pink flowers to the bouquet. The grew in little bunches, and it took quite a few of the little flowers to be noticeable.
"Pink and orange roses for happiness at the reunion, and sunflowers for adoration." She paused, reaching for a zinnia, and simply held it, deciding whether she should add it or not. A zinnia signified thoughts of absent friends, so it was incredibly fitting but as she slid it into place, she figured it didn't look just right. Removing the zinnia, she reached for some string to hand-tie the bouquet, looking once more at the finished product.
The flowers were so bright they seemed to be shining light in her face. But it was a pleasant combination, and she hoped Jules, and more importantly, Agnes, would think so too.
"Here. A bouquet for missing your sister," she said with a smile, handing over the bouquet.Reducio

Roses from the Heart
Date : August 19th, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Roses from the Heart. The third booth that caught Sere's attention today. The tent for this booth was located quite far at the corner of the expo, but its flowery theme made it stand out despite of the placement. As she drew herself closer, Sere could see the booth's natural-but-creative advertising: the bees helping with pollination and the birds chirping; creating a positive first impression for potential visitors, including herself.
Entering the booth, Sere could smell a floral fragrance that somehow matched the warm, cozy atmosphere. Sere walked around, observing the flowers, which were arranged in a way that probably only the booth owner could understand. Girls -and also boys- who enjoyed taking aesthetic photos would surely want to capture one, two, or even dozens of pictures of themselves with the flowers as a background.
A few moments later, after finished scanning all over the tent, Sere walked over to the desk with a single lantern at the center of the booth. She intended to give some appreciation words to the dark-haired girl, the booth owner. "Good afternoon, it's nice to meet you. I like the way you set up the exterior of this booth. It caught my attention right away. You also have a large collection of flowers. With this amount of variety... you definitely should open your own shop." Sere's focus shifted to the pricelist board in front of the desk. "Ah, you make bouquets for everyone, too?" There was absolutely no harm in buying one bouquet for herself. "One surprise bouquet, please."
Then Sere introduced herself, "Sere Nade, third-year from Hogwarts. I've been with the lions since the sorting ceremony. And you?" She tried to create a conversation with the florist girl while filling the form.School and House: Hogwarts, Gryffindor

What You're Getting The Flowers For: I'll put the bouquet on the table in her tent and the theme of my tent is Patchwork Culture.

Another girl entered the tent, her bright yellow dress looking perfectly at home among the many flowers in the booth. She didn't approach the desk right away; instead, Lucille's inquisitive eyes watched as she wandered around, inspecting her surroundings first. Finally, she approached the desk, complimenting her booth, and Lucille beamed. "Thank you!" she exclaimed, overjoyed at her words. Lucille's flowers were very dear to her, and having someone appreciate them filled her with warmth.
The girl introduced herself as Sere Nade as she filled out the form promptly. As Lucille read it over, she introduced herself, too. "It's lovely to meet you! I'm starting my first year, and I can't wait! Between you and me, I expect I'll end up with the lions myself." Lucille began to work, carefully picking flowers that suited the arrangement.
"We start with lilac, for the joy of youth," she said, picking some small purple flowers and adding them to the arrangement. "Pink roses for happiness, and pink carnations for I'll never forget you." The bouquet turned out to be a bit brighter than expected, but Lucille felt that only added to the joy of the occasion. Still, she added in bright yellow flowers nonetheless, giving the bouquet a pleasant spark of color.
"For you," she said softly, tying the bouquet together and offering it to Sere. A fragrant scent wafted from them, standing out even more than the flowers littered around the booth. "I hope this signifies the start of your lasting friendships with your companions." A bright smile spread upon her face, as she waited expectantly.

Date : August 19th, 2025 Color code : Written | Thought | Said "Our house will definitely miss a chance to get one new talented student if the Sorting Hat decided something else. You have to join us!" Sere watched Lucille's hands reach for each flower while thinking, how can someone be so fast and so careful at the same time? She was truly exceptional.
Another new thing for Sere. She had never made a request for custom bouquet before. Hearing Lucille explain the meaning of each flower made her feel like this was a delightful first experience. Purple and pink, which were previously just colors to her, could become something more meaningful. Adding yellow to the arrangement was a perfect finishing touch.
"The joy and happiness of youth that will never be forgotten..." Sere murmured the meaning of the bouquet altogether as she accepted it from Lucille. She could remember the moment she entered the tent for the first time, introducing herself to the full-glitter as well as the sensitive-grumpy international students. "Perfect. You're amazing." A smile formed on her face without she realizing it. She smelled the fragrance wafting from the bouquet. "This will definitely fit in my tent."
Sere hugged her bouquet in her left arm while handing out two gold coins with her right hand, "Here you go, two galleons. Just keep the change as a tip, or..." Sere cradled her bouquet with both hands and walked backward, "you can give the change to me when we meet again at the Gryffindors' Table on your first day in Hogwarts." Of course, this was the other words with the same meaning as Sere was looking forward to Lucille joining her and the others in the lion's den, rather than asking for the change for real.
"Thank you, Lucille. See you at school!" Sere waved and went out of the tent. She walked away excitedly, eager to place this bouquet as the center of attention in her Patchwork Culture.ReducioSere's outfit.
