summoning the dnd ganggg For a while now, i've had this mythology inspired d&d campaign sitting in my google doc drafts.. all these characters.. all this writing... So I thought it'd be fun to do an original dnd thread campaign on Hio! Mythology lovers... D&D lovers.. lovely friends who have no idea what i'm talking about.. welcome welcome! This is a game for all levels, if you have absolutely no idea what dnd is, please join us anyway.. it'll be fun!

What is DnD?
Dungeons and Dragons It is a widely popular tabletop roleplaying game that first came out in 1974 Players create characters and embark on exciting journeys.. so if you like fantasy roleplays, this one's for you

Of course, I know many of you know this -- perhaps you might not understand all the rolls and the damage hits, etc. .. no worries, it will be explained!

Note To Beginners! Dungeons and Dragons [Character Classes]
Perhaps one of the first thing you need to know before you embark on this DnD journey is your character classes Every character must have a class and race -- and no, this does not mean any sort of social class or ethnicity -- it is a sort of fantasy aspect of the game that gives you cool powers and stat points and such! Please include your choice of character class and race on your sign up form, makes everything a whole lot easier when your stat points are calculated And once you sign up i'll go into /all/ the detail about your character and abilities that you never asked for via owl, so I left everything a bit vague Feel free to request one that I have not put on here, we can discuss... there's just so many that I couldn't fit them all (also it's 10:30 pm sob)! And yes, half races are more than okay but pleasplease specify it's wild enough as it is already hehe

Beginners! Hi! Sorry I know this was confusing .. a race is.. essentially your character's being, their genetics. A class is more their powers and their personality If you're confused, perhaps think of it as your Hio character's special race and abilities, they affect your stats Please pick one of each (unless you combine races ) Choose wisely, let me know if you have questions! If I were to give a tip, i'd suggest thinking of a character and their backstory before choosing a class

Human [Race] Reducio Simply put, you are a human! yay! - you may choose where to put your ability scores - more versatile options for roleplaying - adaptable, common race in dnd	Aasimar [Race] Reducio Essentially mortals, but with celestial influence.. very cool for a mythology inspired campaign,, wink wink nudge nudge - unless they have turned evil, they have some link to a celestial being - not fully human	Elf [Race] Reducio DnD elves are magical beings,,, they've got some pretty sick powers xD - darkivision - fey ancestry - option for subraces!! high elves, wood elves, drow
Halfling [Race] Reducio half human, half elf	Dragonborn [Race] Reducio chop chop! You are born of dragons! - damage resistantt - hatched from a dragon egg - very cool	Orc [Race] Reducio Orcs are.. raiders that gather in tribes to slay humanoids? does that help? sob

I swear, character classes will be up later beginners, don't kill mee just sign up and leave it blank to edit later.. and if anyone knowledgable would like to help write the descriptions, by all means lmk
