"Hurry Tacey-bee, we are gonna get a scoop of Florean Fortescue's ice cream, remember?"
"Oh yesss! Coming." Stace hoped to join her mother and brother, who had been waiting for her for about 5 minutes, so she could finish playing with a cat through the windowpane of Magical Menagerie.
"Here," Elsie points her finger toward the shop she and her son have been standing beside of "is where Noah and I got our wands. Now you have nearly everything you need, just one more and we'll be perfect. So go inside!"
Stace's sight follows her mother's finger and fixes on a sign which reads "Ollivanders". The shop looked slightly weather-beaten with the peeling gold letters. This doesn’t seem like the renowned wand shop where everyone got their wand. She gazed at the window ledges when she took one step forward, ready to enter the shop.
“Do I choose my wand?” Stace spun her head to face her mother when her hand was on the door handle.
“No, no, the wand picks its wizard.” Said Elsie with a grin. “You will find out how it works.”
Without catching the latter part of the sentence, Stace had already slipped into the old shop, her figure vanishing past the creaking door.

Ollivander: #828282
Outfit OOC note:
Stace could only hear the door snapping shut when she entered the store, and then the squeak of floorboards caused by her footsteps. She reached the counter and leaned on it.
The store is quite dusty but mysterious, with tons of wand boxes and documents. Stace’s eyes had revolved several times around the store when she realized what she was here for.
“Hello? Mr. Ollivanders? I’m...”
Hardly had her last word fallen, an elderly man appeared between two piles of wand boxes, which previously covered him well.
“Ah. Nice to meet you, Miss Halston. I remembered just as well when your brother and mother came here to purchase their very own wand. They must be taking good care of them, as I see them as excellent wizards...” Stace nodded with a grin, “No more that...”
He went back to the coverage of wand piles and reappeared with a box. He opens the lid, carefully picks out a plainly looking wand, and hands it to Stace. Wait a second, aren’t the wands supposed to pick me? How come he just randomly hands one to me?
“Give it a wave.” Guided Mr. Ollivanders.
Gradually enlightened, Stace confidently waves the wand towards one of the piles of wands.
Crash! The whole pile gave way, and several wands rolled on the floor.
“Clearly not.” He selected another one and murmured, “Eleven and a half inches, maple wood and unicorn hair, sturdy... try this.”
Stace tapped it by the counter with excitement, wondering if this was her “destined” wand.
The flowerpot on the counter fractured, leaving a shallow crack.
“Still no. Give this a try.”
Document scattering, shelf shivering. She tried several more, and the results were unsatisfactory.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Ollivanders, but how long will this last? I wanted to join my mom and Noah for a tour in Diagon Alley.” Mr. Ollivander seemed to beam and spoke, “Be patient, Miss Halston, finding a wand suitable for you does take time. I’m sure you want a wand that likes you, don't you? Now, give one more attempt, I wonder...”
Stace waved the wand with all her remaining energy, if doing so could prove that this wand is hers. Without any response from it, she grew a bit irritated and was ready for the next one, just when she felt a flow of warmth running through her body and slightly blowing her hair into a better shape.
This is when Stace starts to give a more comprehensive look at this wand. Pretty elegant, but too long, a lot longer than her mom’s and brother’s, almost like a wooden sword in a toy store. She is amused by her thought and nearly burst out to a laughter.
“Thirteen and three-quarter inches, chestnut wood and rougarou hair, bendy. This wand is fond of fast, quick-witted, and flexible wizards. Slightly longer than average and with an unusual core, I can see you’ve got a broad heart and a potential for great things.”
“Thank you Mr. Ollivanders!” Stace nearly danced with excitement when she noticed her mom and brother waiting outside. “Goodbye Mr!” She rushed out of the store while Mr. Ollivander waved with a smile.
