Courtyard - Afternoon after the first week of classes.

Nick thought this was going to be easy, he thought that maybe magic learning was in fact, just magic.

Boy was he wrong. Charms had been the first, and not to brag, but he felt he did a great job at that one, he even learned a new party trick out of it! Then potions came along.

Nick loved potions, mostly because the concept was so intriguing, but his father also wrote many books about the topic so he knew at least that would make him proud.
What he didn't expect was the teacher being so scary. The air of stern and cold felt so similar to his father's that if brought a chill to Nick's spine every time he spoke.

So he decided that, if he wanted that teacher to like him, then he would have to pick up the slack. He grabbed a few snacks after lunch, and his potion book before shuffling his way to the courtyard.

He found a spot beneath the fountain, comfortable enough to concentrate but not comfortable enough to end up being his newest nap spot, and cracked over the book white taking a bite out of a scone.

Following her previous success in potion training, Elizabeth decided to revise the spells, it was gold questions that her two older brothers were apprehending that she was a dud an opportunity to prove that the Hamiltons were strong. Their desire to always prove their superiority over others bothered Elizabeth, she preferred equality for everyone. But she can't change her family's lifestyle.
She knew that her brothers were having a great time, always proving a potential superiority.
The young girl didn't like this way of life, but she loved her family more than anything, so she adapted. She went out into the courtyard, her long blond hair wavy in the wind. She wore a light blouse and the skirt of the uniform. When she arrived, she decided to stand near the fountain, the lapping of the water soothed her and helped her to concentrate. But when she arrived at the scene she saw a young boy who was sitting where she wanted to sit. The young boy must have been Elizabeth's age, his brown hair turning to black. The girl was too far away to see the color of the stranger's eyes.
Hesitating a little, she approached him and asked him in her soft voice:

"- Excuse me, can I sit next to you?''

Nick was nose deep into one of the most boring potions he could find in that book when he heard a voice.

His head shot up immediately, big bright green eyes staring at the girl standing right in front of him. "Hi, hello. Yes!" He blurted out quickly before he cleaned his throat.

"I mean, sure!" He sheepishly mumbled as he scooted to the side a little bit so she could sit and lean on the fountain alongside him.

"I'm just revising some potion stuff... The teacher seemed stern so I thought maybe I should study, I don't want to embarrass myself on the one class I care about the most ..."

Then he blinked, the poorly oiled and cobwebbed filled cogs in his little, in the clouds, brain started to spin. He flushed with embarrassment Immediately. "My name!" He just blurted out awkwardly, but flinched when some students walking by stated at him.

"I..I mean... Hi, I'm Nicholas - Nick, just... Just Nick." It was very apparent that he was not used to conversations, at least not conversations that weren't happening in his own mind. "Sorry I'm not... Very good at this."

But he did try his best to be friendly regardless. "What's... What's yours?"

The young boy agreed to let Elizabeth sit next to him. He moved away stuttering a little, he introduced himself and apologized for being so uncomfortable, he was not used to speaking. The boy's name was Nicolas But he wanted to be called Nic. He also told her that he was reviewing potions, and asked her what she was doing.
Elizabeth replied:

"- I'm going to work on some spells to be ready before tomorrow's class. Why do you revise potions in particular?

Elizabeth took out of her shoulder bag her spell book and her wand.
Before going to work she took a deep breath and listened to the lapping of the fountain, the sound was so soothing.
Once she was calm, she opened the book, grabbed her wand and a piece of paper. She took a long breath and then recited the formula
Once she was calm, she opened the book, grabbed her wand and a piece of paper. She took a long breath and then recited the formula:

"-Wingardium Leviosa"

Then the leaf began to float in the air. Elizabeth smiled, satisfied with her lot. She scoured the sheet to the ground and scoured the pages of the book for a spell she could perform but found nothing. Finally she ends up learning each of the formulas by heart.
