@Victoria BlytheAs Claire headed to Diagon Alley, she was carrying her new friend, her black cat Night, in her arms. The cat was curled up comfortably on her lap. If she hadn't seen her mischief at home, she might have thought the cat was really well-behaved.
Claire was happy when she saw Flourish and Blotts shop. She loved reading books and loved wizarding books as well as Muggle books.
When they entered the bookstore, she heard Night, who was sitting on her lap, muttering uncomfortably. She felt unintentionally embarrassed when she saw that the witches and wizards around him did not have a pet.
"If I let you off my lap, will you promise not to cause trouble?"
When the black cat meowed, Claire put the cat down from her lap and continued to examine the books. It was easier to look through books when her hands were empty. Her interest in books was awakened by a voice coming from up ahead. Claire comes towards that voice with the ideas that come to her mind.
When she saw her black cat with someone, she slowed down and spoke in an apologetic voice. Her eyes caught the scattered books.
"I'm so sorry if my cat bothered you."

Victoria was walking calmly through Diagon Alley. She wore a black blouse and dark green jeans. She was gripping her navy blue canvas bag tightly—Diagon Alley was very crowded, and Victoria didn’t like crowded places.
Her cold blue doe eyes lit up when she caught sight of the Flourish and Blotts bookstore. She could browse some books. Besides, her family was busy talking to people she didn’t know. Victoria quickly made her way to the shop and stepped inside.
She began carefully examining the books. The scent of freshly bound covers and parchment soothed her, and a small smile spread across her face—something that happened rarely. As the dimple on her single cheek appeared, Victoria felt something brush against her foot.
She tilted her head down slightly and her eyes sparkled when she saw a sweet black cat. Victoria adored cats, though her family was against her adopting one.
She knelt down and gently lifted the cat into her arms. Her eyes gleamed with affection, and the smile returned to her face as she softly stroked the cat’s fur. “...what a cutie you are,” she murmured under her breath.
But the smile faded as she heard a voice. She looked up and saw a stunning girl approaching her. With blonde hair, blue eyes, and freckles, she looked sweet and beautiful.
Victoria examined her for a few seconds with her distant, cold blue gaze before hesitantly handing the cat over to the girl.
“No need to apologize, I wasn’t bothered. What’s their name?” she asked, shifting her eyes from the cat to the girl.

@Victoria BlytheNext to the cat was a sweet girl with black hair and blue eyes. She picked up Night and petted the black cat's head. When the girl asks Claire's name she spoke with a slight French accent. Her tone of voice came out slightly shy.
"My name is Claire. Claire White and this is my cat Night. So what is your name?"
When she saw that she was a little younger than her, she thought she was only in her first year. So she couldn't help but ask.
"Are you 11 years old? So this is your first year? Which school are you going to go to?"
Claire stopped talking, thinking she had gone too far. Her slight French accent was evident as she spoke. She stroked the head of the cat in her lap. Night seemed content, so she didn't think she would cause any more trouble. Something came to mind, but Claire didn't want to seem like she talked too much, but finally she couldn't help it. She sounded a little shy
"Uhm, what did you come here for? I mean, did you come here to shop for books? Or are you just here to wander around and look for new books?"

Victoria's blue doe eyes lit up at the girl's sweet French accent. She had always loved and found French accents charming. Maybe that was silly, but she didn’t care. It made her want to keep listening.
"Night? You chose a pretty name for this cutie," Victoria replied gently, a rare, tiny smile spreading across her face as the dimple on one cheek appeared.
Victoria hesitated for a moment, trying to ignore the flutter of nerves in her stomach. Talking to strangers had never been easy, but there was something warm and comforting about this girl — maybe it was her soft accent, or the way she seemed just as uncertain as Victoria felt.
"Oh—yes. This is my first year. I’ll be moving into my second soon," Victoria answered, tilting her head slightly. "I go to Hogwarts."
Victoria studied the girl a little more, then realized she'd never seen her at school.
"I suppose you don't go to Hogwarts?" she asked quietly.
Victoria found the girl's shy way of speaking endearing. She herself always got nervous around new people and tended to stay quiet, but she really wanted to be friends with this girl. Besides, she looked so sweet—what harm could come from chatting a bit?
"Ah, well," Victoria mumbled in response to the girl’s question. "I don't really like crowds, and it's pretty packed here in Diagon Alley today."
She anxiously fiddled with the sleeve of her sweater, afraid of giving a silly answer or talking too much. She paused for a few seconds, trying to come up with something short and simple.
She glanced at the girl again. Why was it so hard to talk? She wasn’t being judged, not really, and yet the familiar fear tugged at her chest.
"I just thought looking at some books wouldn't hurt. What about you? Why are you here?"

@Victoria BlytheClaire smiled involuntarily because of the girl's dimpled smile. The smile was truly like a contagious disease. Meanwhile, Night meowed happily in her arms.
"I've heard of Hogwarts, but I'm also studying at Beauxbaton. I'd like to visit Hogwarts one day. I hadn't been able to talk to many Hogwarts students since I was sick in February."
She knew she talked too much, but Victoria's aura and smile were contagious. Diagon Alley and Flourish and Blotts were indeed very crowded today. She could guess why.
"Actually, I can guess. Students are already doing their shopping since the fair is coming up."
She thought this guess might be true. She was looking forward to July. I hope it will be fun, she thought.
"I like wandering around Diagon Alley and I came to buy new books and look at them but the little troublemaker in my arms wouldn't stay still."
Her gaze went to the black cat on her lap. Something told her that the cat was going to cause a lot of trouble.
"So what's your most interesting experience at Hogwarts? Have you had any interesting experiences?"
Curiously, she asked the question that had come to her mind. She was no longer hesitant to speak or afraid of how Victoria would react.

Victoria listened to the girl carefully.
"Beauxbatons?" Her eyes lit up slightly, remembering how her mother used to say such glamorous things about that school.
"What’s it like? How’s the food and the library?"
To Victoria, food and the library were essential for survival, and she was genuinely curious about how those things were in a different place.
When the girl mentioned why she had come here and talked about her cat, Victoria’s gaze shifted to the small creature. Her eyes softened slightly at the sight of the sweet black cat.
The girl’s question made Victoria’s blue eyes sparkle again. She hadn’t really shared much about her first-year experiences with her family—mostly because they only cared about her grades and didn’t really bother with anything else she did.
"We have a group where we challenge each other," she said gently, though the excitement in her eyes was unmistakable.
"We try to pull things off without getting caught."
Victoria kept it brief; she didn’t want to bore the girl. Plus, usually she wasn't the one who talks in a conversation. She tilted her head slightly.
"What’s your school like? I’ve heard everyone there is very serious and disciplined.Do they make you walk with books on your head? Or was that just an exaggeration?"
Then Victoria realized she still didn’t know the her name, and smiled again.
"I’m Victoria, by the way—Victoria Blythe."

@Victoria Blythe"It's like a fairy tale place. A huge castle in the mountains. The food is delicious and beautiful. Also, the library is very big, so if you are looking for something, you can find that information."
Claire had unintentionally talked too much. She thought her blue eyes were shining when she spoke. When she talked about things she liked, she unintentionally talked too much and spoke too fast.
"Wow, this sounds really cool. What else do you do in this group?"
She asked curiously. She wanted to know more about Hogwarts. She wanted to get information about the girl.
Claire laughed after what the girl said. She laughed for a while before she could recover. When she recovered and was able to speak, her face was red from laughing. She wiped the tears from her eyes and began to speak.
"Yes, even our lessons include 'how to brew tea and how to choose a dress?' All joking aside, we proceed a little differently in terms of lessons and this requires discipline."
She said this with a slight seriousness. It was true that the lessons were indeed different and difficult. She swallowed involuntarily when he thought of this.
"Oh right. You didn't tell me your name. Nice to meet you, Victoria."

Victoria listened to the girl carefully. She found the way her blue eyes sparkled when she spoke incredibly sweet, and she bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from smiling.
She was paying close attention, and when the girl mentioned how big the Beauxbatons library was, Victoria’s own eyes lit up without her even realizing it.
When she heard the girl’s question about the group, she sheepishly smiled.
“Well… basically everyone’s challenging each other and doing ridiculous things. It sounds kind of stupid—because it is—but it’s also fun. I’ve met some really cool people.” As soon as the words left her mouth, Victoria hesitated. Was she rambling? She wasn’t used to talking this much to strangers—especially not ones who made her this... comfortable.
When the girl started laughing at her previous question about the girl's school, Victoria couldn’t help but smile too. Claire's cheeks had turned a soft shade of pink, a few strands of her hair had fallen across her face, and she looked absolutely adorable. There was something effortless about the girl's energy—something Victoria wasn’t used to. Most people exhausted her, but this felt different. Lighter. Warmer.
“Oh—so your school really is super strict. Isn’t that a bit boring? I mean… Hogwarts has rules too, of course, but there’s a certain amount of tolerance, I guess. Your school seems way more perfectionist.”She asked gently, not judging, just curious.
