Cool Beginnings Always Bring New Friendships
@Isla AftonIt was one of the hottest days of the summer vacation. One of Tori's favorite places in the wizarding world was Diagon Alley. On this hot day, she had come to the wizarding world to get ice cream. She liked wizard ice creams more than muggle ice creams.
When Tori walked in, the cool air hit her face and she felt refreshed. She had already forgotten about the heat outside. She immediately got in line. She looked at the menu to try a different taste. This time she decided to get 'The Candy Connoisseur.'
When it was Tori's turn, Tori placed her order. The attendant smiled and nodded and started making the ice cream. It wasn't the first time Tori had come, but she still watched with the same curiosity.
Tori's eyes widened when the ice cream was ready. The ice cream was in a colorful and flavorful bowl. Hazelnuts, caramel pieces, and chocolate chips were among the things that caught her attention.
She took his ice cream and spoon and sat at an empty table. It was actually a miracle that she found an empty table because all the tables were full except for that one. She quickly sat at that table so that no one else would sit there.

Isla hated summer, it wasn't the excessive heat, it was how her skin reacted to it, she was allergic to the sun, just like her father, she didn't even know why she had come to Diagon Alley, but she couldn't just go back to her aunt's house and die of boredom.
She had little red stains on her arms and face, a reaction to it, as they were itching. She quickly entered to the only ice cream shop she found, even thought she hated ice cream… Well, Hate is such a strong word, she didn't like them all, just one or two flavors.
She quickly got in line, right after a red head, mentally thanking the cool air, feeling refreshed. She noticed how the girl ordered the candy connoisseur, it wasn't among her favorites, but it was fantastic.
After the girl went to sit, Isla ordered her Classic sundae, ignoring the curious glances people were stealing at her for her changing root's color, from blue to red. She thanked the attendant and quickly started to search for an empty table. It was quite packed, and the only table she could sit was already occupied with the girl before her in the line.
She slowly made her way there, looking at the girl, "Hi, umm, can I sit here? I mean, all the other tables are occupied, and I thought we could share?" She asked, her voice lowering with every word as her cheeks reddened

@Isla AftonTori was about to eat her ice cream when she heard a voice, which brought her out of her thoughts. It was a girl behind her. She saw the people at the other tables looking at her with curiosity.
"Of course you can sit down. The table is big enough and I'd be bored if I ate without a friend."
She noticed that the girl's hair was not red. He could have sworn that it had been a different color when she arrived.
"Are you a metamorphmagus too? I think that's why they were looking at you curiously. Wait a minute."
Tori closed her eyes and scrunched up her face as if she were thinking about something. This made her long red hair a light pink. She wanted the girl to not be different.
"Ta-da. How do I look? Do you like it."
At this point, she saw the redness on her body. Tori was confused. Unable to contain her curiosity, she asked.
"What happened to your arms? Are you okay? Do you have allergies or something? If you want to talk, I'll listen."
Meanwhile, she realized that she hadn't introduced herself or known what the girl's name was.
"By the way my name is Victoria. Victoria Lena Jones. What is your name?"

Isla listened to the girl talk, her hair slowly stopping its color shifting."I'm Isla, Isla Afton" She introduced herself, one hand on the sundae and the other one
scratching her arm. She took the seat across the red haired girl, chuckling at her now pink hair, "I love it" She said, smiling softly.
"My arms?" Isla asked confused, for a moment, she had forgotten about her allergies, admiring how the girl could control, what according to Isla, was a curse. She glazed at them, the red stains starting to itch again, "The sun, I'm allergic to it, and we ran out of the sun cream I often use." She explained.
Isla took a spoonful of her ice cream, muttering before eating it "I'm glad to know someone who can actually control this" The girl pointed at Victoria's hair before swallowing the ice cream "I'm not very good at controlling it" This time, her voice was a soft whisper "I mean, it's not like I don't try, but, my family... It's complicated" she added, shaking her head softly.
Trying to change topic, Isla checked Victoria's order, noticing the hazelnuts in it. "Oh, hazelnuts? I love them, but in milkshake, it's such a shame they don't sell 'em here" The brunette said, hoping the redheaded girl wouldn't press further on her abilities.

@Isla Afton"I've always loved pink hair. When I get bored of red hair, pink is one of the hair colors I do."
She spoke with a smile. Her voice was energetic as she spoke. She spoke as if it was a very normal thing.
"Allergies are the body's response to an allergenic object. Does it just itch or are there other symptoms?"
As soon as she took a spoonful of ice cream, Victoria's mouth was filled with a feast of flavors. "I wonder how they really fit so much flavor into one spoon?" she said out loud the sentence in her mind.
"I didn't try to control my Metamorphmagus feature. I just let my physical features change along with my emotions. That way I always know what kind of change is happening in which situation and I continue my life that way."
As she spoke, she realized Isla was trying to change the subject. "Well, yeah. The hazelnuts added an interesting flavor to the ice cream." Realizing she was bad at this, Victoria had an idea. "Hey did you know that the name Isla is actually Spanish, it's of Scottish origin? And your name means 'island' Isn't this very strange?" She spoke with a smile.

"You're actually one of the first people to know it, I didn't actually know my name meant island, but I did know it also is the name for a river in Scotland, my homeland" Isla explained "And my last name, Afton, also is from a river, so it's fascinating to be named after two rivers and not knowing them, don't you think?"
Isla smiled softly, continuing to eat, and progressively forgetting about her allergies. "Also, your name in Roman mythology is the same as the goddess of victory, Nike if you prefer Greek terms" She added, completely sure she didn't know it, many people didn't care about Greek or Roman gods.
Not Isla of course, she was absolutely fascinated by the gods, her personal favorite was Hestia, a not so know goddess who left her throne at Olympus to give it to Dionysus. She thanked that Victoria didn't press further on the topic, and the brunette tried to focus on the shade of pink the girl across her had changed her hair color too.
She wanted to focus on it, trying to copy, it wasn't original, but maybe like that, she could learn to control it on her own. Isla's hair didn't completely change, still chained by her own shame, but half of it was now pink. She cursed under her breath when she noticed how the parts of hair that fell over her face were different colors, the right site had remained brown, while the other one was a bubblegum pink
