Ally walked into Flourish and Blotts behind her mother. She's obviously been here before, spending hours browsing the bookshelf s looking for a good read, but today they moved towards a section she never had a reason to enter. The school books section.

“Mom, when we pick up the books can I take a look at the other bookshelves?” She pleaded.

“I don't know honey. We still have a lot of shopping to do for school.” Her mother glanced at her.

“Please…” Ally sent her the best impression of puppy dog eyes she could do, and pleaded to the gods that it would work. “It'll just take a second!”

“We'll see sweetie. If we manage to find the books we need in under ten minutes, I think we could spare another 20 in here.” Her mother gave in.

“Yay! Thank you!” Ally hugged her mother and ran off to find the books she needed.

She browsed the tall bookshelf, looking down at the supply list in her hand every few seconds.

“J… J… Oh there! Now, Jigger.” She muttered to herself. “There it is!”

With her mother's help, she managed to find every book on the list under the time limit and soon she ran off towards her favourite section.

They left the store with two more books than necessary.
