Graci was surprised that the year was already over. It had gone far too fast. And it lived up to her expectations. There were a few more on said list, but none so accurate as those. It was quite astounding, really, how many things on her list she had actually gotten to. She was personally hoping she didn't have a near death experience, but that was the cause of the personality 180°.
- Near death experience
- Get sorted into a house you didn't think you were going to get
- Make a lot of random friends but no friend group
- Get better grades in Magic school than muggle school
- Have a personality 180°
But now she was going home. Leaving home of a different kind. She didn't know why she hadn't sat in a compartment with some of her friends, but maybe that was she only had individual friends, not a group. Which was really unfortunate, but it was only her first year, she still had time to grow.
Ah, but the years are just going to get faster and I'll still have no good friends. Scratch that, I do have good friends. Phoenix, Eira, Kaitlyn... a lot. Just not a group. Then again, I don't need a group if I have one really good friend.
She sat on her seat, hoping someone, or multiple someones, would come along and make the ride more fun. Not all people would think of socializing as fun, heck, even she herself would've been mortified at the prospect at the beginning of the year.
Ah, how fast a person can change when left to their own devices. And that I was, that I was.
The train car was as she remembered. Not the same one, necessarily, but she figured they must've all been pretty similar. Her foot was tapping as she sat there, not in boredom or anxiety, but out of habit.
Graci was back in her muggle clothes, greatful that she didn't have to wear her school robes. They made her feel like she was LARPing all day. And she might as well have been, for how wacky the school was.

Dove wasn't able to understand what was happening into her chest right now. She had waited for so long to be with her family, she missed her mother, father, and brother so much she had catched herself crying sometimes in the bathroom, thinking about them. She had seen them every holiday, but she still felt the lost of her family when she was into her bed, trying to sleep, but a picture of her beloved ones appeared into her head. However, knowing she was going home wasn't as big a relief as the thought it would. Even if her small house in Cork was her home for twelve years, she found a new one at Hogwarts, Ravenclaw. Being surrounded with wizards, people like her, who were learning something they couldn't master before, and above all, meeting them, talking to them, was some big lessons she would never forget.
She could remember her first journey to Hogwarts, were she met her first friend, enven bestfriend, Daniel. Even if he seemed to be very busy this year, starting a whole new life with a trusting one was such a relief. But as she remembered this appeasing memory, she realised she hadn't met this many people. The year had gone so fast, and she had a few friend here and there, but whom she wasn't seeing this much.
After relief, nostalgy, now was the feeling of regret, which she shouldn't have, since she could only have good memories about this year, but still it was here somewhere in her heart. Oh no, she definilty didn't want to feel that way. But it was an unascape feeling, since she was now on her own, without getting any idea if she could spend this journey back home alone or not. Panick was starting to settle into her throat, and going up to reach her eyes, about to transform itself into some tears.
As Dove was walking, she saw a girl, who seemed to be her age since she was sure she had seend her in her class during the year, entering into an almost empty compartment. It would be a very basic thing, if the girl didn't ask for sitting there, which means the two girl into this compartment didn't know eachother, well she hoped so, because she just entered this place, asking too :
"Hi, can I join ?"
She was hoping her voice wasn't to broken, since her throat was hurting a bit, due to her stress, and her eyes still wet. But she had taken a good breathe before talking, so she could seem "normal" from the outside.

Graci grinned as the two girls entered the compartment. Lo and behold, her wish had been granted.
"Yes, yes! You both can. I was hoping someone would join me. None of my books are particularly riveting, and it would've been quite boring without people to talk to."
Graci was sitting criss-cross-apple-sauce on the seat, putting her hair up with some pencils she had on hand. {Despite most of Howgarts using quills, she always used pencils on her homework and even in class she only used quills when absolutely necessary.} Her hair had grown quite long since coming to Hogwarts {no duh, that's what hair does} and her fringe {bangs} was more grown out than she usually like it to be.
Though now it can actually fit into an elastic instead of staying in my face all day.
Graci was actually rather surprised to find that her wand did a wonderful jobs to keep her hair up as opposed to three to four pencils sticking out at random intervals. Though, she shouldn't have been. A few of the older year girls had done it, quite masterfully, too.
Someday, I will be an older year student with little firsties to chat with. Eesh. Old Graci sounds scary. Or not. Maybe she's like mum. I hope so.
She kind of hoped she could've had the ride with some of the people she had met during the year, but hadn't seen any of them in the compartments she'd passed. Hence why she was meeting new people. It feels like I'm always meeting new people. Is there an end to how many students can attend Hogwarts?

✽ Val stood awkwardly in the train, really having nothing useful to do; she was really tired, but relieved to be leaving to see her parents and her cousin Rayne. She dragged all her luggage with her as she moved through the train. She remembered all the conventional situations she had been in and dreaded every single one.
Then her thoughts drifted to Dylan, the cute boy she had met the day after the ball. He mentioned something of living in NYC so Val would visit there so she can see her cousin Rayne. She felt her face heat up, as she recalled how they met under that tree and how she had shown him the flower valley she found, when the helled hands. Recalling all of those moments made Val flustered, she shaked her head trying to clear her mind of the thoughts.
She moved through the train trying to find a place to sit then she saw a compartment with 3 girls, Val had made 0 friends in her first year at Hogwarts and telling her parents that would be a huge drag. She then decided to ask the girls if she could sit with them. "Excuse me?.. Can I sit here, or are you full?" ✽

Am I bossy? Absolutely. I don't like to lose, and if I'm told 'no,' then I find another way to get my 'yes.

Dove was starting to feel better, and quite happy. First, she was glad her intuition was right, indeed the two girls in the compartment didn't know eachother, which didn't made (fortunatly) Dove's entrance awkward. But most of all, the first girl, who originaly was in the compartment, seemed to be happy Dove and the other stranger came, which appeased her a bit. She thanked her and took a sit in the compartment. She didn't know what to sat, it was easy to come, and ask, but what would be next ? Who would be the first to talk ? Dove hopped it wouldn't be her, she was a bit tired of her year, trying to know other people, and leave her little confort sphere.
This year had been a great experiment, she realised she was able to talk to other people when she had to, since she had always been the little shy girl of her family. She still was, but less, and she could notice that now, after all, she asked to join a not empty compartment ? What a nice evolution, well done me ! she told herself, making her smile a bit.
So yeah, since she spent lots of her energy during her first year, trying to meet other people, and finding friends, so that at the end of all these efforts she had to spend her way back home with strangers, she could say she didn't really dare to speak first, and she was a bit afraid that this could go to nothing.
But then another girl arrived, and she was pretty sure her name was Valentin, asking if she could join them. Dove definitly wanted her to come, but she wasn't the 'owner' of this place. Well, of course it was quite dumb to think that way, she knew that, blah blah blah, but the 'original' girl, which name started with a G she thought, Grace ? Garence ? she didn't know. Anyways, all she could do at this moment was to smile at, she supposed was Valentin, hopping it would show some kindness, and interest for her to join.

Graci felt that the turnout of the compartment was nice. Three girls her age, and all seemingly pretty nice.
"Of course you can. It's definitely not full." Graci had seen all of these girls back at Howgarts, but had never interacted with any of them, really. Unfortunate, as they all seemed to be kind, but she was always open for meeting new people. Mostly.
She had been hoping to spot Zoe and sit with her, but no such luck. Ever elusive as she had been for most of the year. It's unfortunate, really.
Graci really hoped they'd find something to talk about. Shouldn't be too hard. I mean, we have a whole year we could talk about. She would be okay with silence, too, but she figured that would be awkward for most of the other girls.
"But random pleasantries aside, we have a few hours, so care to share any memorable moments from this past year? I know I certainly have some." A bit straight forward, but still valid. Genuine intrigue was on her face as she shifted in her seat so she could better see all of them.
Meeting new people was nice, but getting to know them was even better. Especially when it was a shared experience that would still be unique.
