"Mother, over there!"
Lorraine tucked her mother's jacket, pointing at a sort of eerie and deserted shop. They made their way onto it, Lorraine raised her head to read the sign above the doors; "Ollivanders - Makers of Exquisite Wands since 382 BC", her mother read under her breath. "Are you sure this is the place, darling?", the older woman, her mother, asked her skeptically. "I'm very sure, plus you don't see any other shops that looks like they sell wands don't you?", she questioned her mother in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Oh all right," her mother finally said and nodded. "Well go on then." the older woman added while Lorraine asked her, clearly confused. "What d'you mean? Aren't you going with me?"
"Well I have to get your books too, don't I?", her mother answers as if Lorraine was the one who was wrong. "Oh, right", Lorraine murmured sadly as she watched her mother walk away.
It's not that she doesn't want to get her books, but the feeling when you're supposed to have achieved something and your parents just dismiss of it. Not that this always happens, but frequently, yes. They never really made an appearance during her play as Aurora during her kindergarten years, only sent the nanny and driver because her father had an important and her mother had a sudden call and needed to fly to the United States. It's not that she doesn't want her parents to work, in fact she is thankful that they but sometimes, she needs them too

Magic Wand?
Pushing open the door, Lorraine can't help but notice that the whole shop seemed to be a bit ...unkempt and Lorraine doesn't like that. There was a rather large window, though it didn't really brighten the whole place up. It had a wand on a purple cushion. Interesting, she thought as she made her way to the wand.
"Ah, miss Hawkes, how pleasant to see you,", said a very wise yet eerie voice that made Lorraine jump and turn around immediately. At the sight of an old man with greying hair and very pretty glasses, startled, Lorraine couldn't but start apologizing non profusely, "I'm so sorry sir! I didn't mean to I jus-"
But the man's eerie voice cut her very would've-been-non-stop apology, "Ah but it's all right, it usually gets chosen frequently. I'm sure your here for your wand?"
Of course I was, a small voice in her head spoke, Why else would I be here? It's not like someone with an ounce of self-dignity ev-
"Wand? I'm sorry a magic wand? Like those things magicians use?, she asked eagerly, but she knew she only did this to stop that annoying voice from insulting the old man further. "Ah, a muggle-born, I forgot, forgive me miss Hawkes.", the old man, Ollivander?, said as if he was the one at wrong.
"Sorry, I forgot to ask, you must be Mr. Ollivander? (the old man, I mean, Ollivander nodded)Right, well yes, I'm a muggle-born", Lorraine added trying to avoid Ollivander's eye.
"Well, yes and no" , Ollivander said, "Unfortunately, I
do not know what a magician is but yes, a magic wand", he continued. Ollivander then began to search for something amongst the towers of thin boxes behind him, "Why don't we start with this one," he said as he opened one box which revealed a light brown wand, "Ash, Unicorn Heartstring, 35,5 cm., reasonably supple", he added as Lorraine took the wand have it a little swish before Ollivander took it and shook his head.
"Ah, yes, this one, Silver Lime wood, 29 cm, dragon heartstring", the moment Lorraine took it, she instantly felt a surge of warmth from her fingertips to her whole body, she looked around and found Ollivander looking at her with an amused smile on his face.
