Boris had finished his letter and handed it to the owl. He and his cousin had already been exchanging letters back home, and once they got to school, Alliasta never stopped writing. Boris wanted to know everything that was happening at school. No matter how annoying she could be, Boris loved her. Because when Alliasta cared about someone, she annoyed them.

Dear Curly Head,

What's up, Alliasta? Honestly, I decided to write to you today just because I was bored. Oh, and guess what? I’m now officially on the Durmstrang broom racing team. Yes, it’s a big step for me. Unlike you, broom racing has always been more ideal for me than Quidditch. I still don’t get how you enjoy throwing a quaffle through a hoop.

Anyway, maybe when we meet again during the summer, we can have a race, and you can show me the tricks you’ve learned in Quidditch. I’m trying to be active at school, not as much as you would be, of course, but still. And I’m trying to talk to people. Not everyone is that terrible.
