"First, I'm going to ace all my classes. Then I'm going to join a club and become-"

"In your first year?"

The young boy stopped, his freckled face forming a bit of a scowl. Next to him, an older man, somewhere in his mid-twenties, leaned against the wall. A bemused look settled on his face. The older man was dressed in neat and fitted work robes; the boy's robes swallowed him a little. They looked near identical, same dark eyes and wide nose. If it weren't for the age difference, one would take them for father and son.

"Solon, you didn't let me finish." The boy started.

Before he could get anything out, he was interrupted yet again. The older man, Solon, ruffled his hair and the boy let him, his pout smoothing into light affection.

"I'm just messing, Ari," The corner of Solon's mouth quirked up. "Just keep your wits about you and you'll be fine, yeah?"

Aristotle beamed at him.

"Come on, we wouldn't want you to be late."

He let the older man lead him to the train, talking his ear off on the way.

After a reassuring goodbye and a tight hug, Aristotle stepped onto the train.

Aristotle peered into the compartment, it was empty. He shrugged off the mild disappointment and walked in, swiftly putting his trunk up. Taking a seat by the window, he didn't see his older brother anymore. The boy sighed. He knew his parents weren't going to be here to send him off but that wouldn't stop the pinch in his chest. And now his brother was gone as fast as he had come.

He pushed those feelings to the side and cracked open Book of Spells, a long train ride was as good a time as any to get ahead of his studies... And a great distraction.

"You have to want it more than everybody else."

Saying farewell to her family was the hardest thing ever, sure it would only be for a year or so, but Aurette would miss her late night talks with Aster, baking with her mum and father's quidditch talk.

She resigned from her seat alone and decided to spend time with other students, if their compartment was free. From the right of her compartment were a few girls, Aurette wanted to enter but thought that they were too full.

On front of her compartment were a few boys, they were sniggering at something and Aurette didn't want to know what. She walked along the train, trying to see if their habitants weren't glaring at her or otherwise too busy to care that she was even there.

Aurette almost thought that leaving her compartment was a stupid idea and started heading back, but unfortunately, a group of people had already cramped into it and we're now inspecting her trunk that she'd left. Worried that they'd take something, Aurette pulled open the door and shouted, “Hey, that's mine!”

The boy that was about to open the lock froze, a few of them chuckled and a rather snappy girl with dark hair smirked at her and said, “Alright, there's no need to shout y'know?", a few of her friends cackled even louder, Aurette glared at her and started to pull her trunk out of the compartment angrily, “Don't try to shout at anyone else too, dork!”, the girl shouted after her.

By the time Aurette had been too tired to pull her trunk anymore, she was right in front of a compartment with one boy inside, he had fair skin with lots of freckles and curly strawberry blonde hair, he was reading A History of Magic.

Aurette quietly pulled open the door, not wanting to distract the boy, pointed at the chair in front of him then said, “Uhm, is this chair free?”

"The world whispers so many secrets if you just listen."
