I think you have to complete homework and rp more, I'm not sure, but I just read this thread if that helps.

Well okay then...

That thread is super outdated, to move up a year you must have completed at least one homework for each subject and have a registered encyclopedia page, however it gets done manually not automatically so it might take a while after that for you to become a second year. Hope this helps.

Wait so you only have to complete one? If been freaking out over completing all homework before the end of the year.

Hiya Riley. This thread is outdated. To move up a year, you just need to be registered for the index and still be active. Graduation to the next year happens in July.

Okk thanks! I’m pretty active and registered in the index so, yeah, I think I’m fit to move on to my second year!

Yup, you should be fine, as long as you pass the activity check come July (that amounts to being active for the last 6 months). And, just to point out, the homework is optional (completing it gives you house points and the spell/potion, if you complete it for your current year).
