Cira Wand Shop

Cambridge, England

"Hurry, mon chéri," Her mother would call her from the kitchen. "We're going to be late again." Racing down the stairs, the hazel-eyed girl quickly tied her hair into a messy ponytail. Frost's siblings decided to just stay at home, seeing as there was no point in going along. She could hardly wait to get to see all of the cool wands and help her grandparents around the small shop.

The ginger was the first to take a handful of the grey floo powder and stand in the fireplace. She hadn't taken this mode of transport a lot of times, but every time she did, the feeling of thrill when the green flames swallowed you still felt just as enthralling as it did the first time. "Cira wand shop!" And after she threw down the dust, it was like a Muggle magic trick. One second she was there, the other, she was not.

"Nonna! Nonno! Come sei stato?" The girl spoke with each side of her cheeks pressed into both of their chests. Her grandfather just ruffled her hair and laughed, showing his dimples, then proceeding to finish putting a box up on a shelf. "Oh, tesoro," Her blonde grandmother put a hand on Frost's shoulder. "Would you mind feeding Pesto? I need to put up these boxes." Pesto was the name of the cat that was stray, but now lives at the wand shop due to Frost's begging for them to let her stay. The girl nodded, grinning at her Nonna.

With a bowl full of cat kibble in hand, Frost walked along the bricks of the street. Only the sound of ambient street noises and the soft patting sound her bare feet made when they came in contact with the bricks could be heard. Pesto liked to roam around the street area in front of the shop. "Pesto? Pestoooo," Where could that little grey fur ball be?

Frost would call out for the cat until she was all the way across the street. "Pest- oh!" Up ahead, on a sidewalk, she could see the little grey thing sniffing at some guy and lady's shoes. It made her laugh to think about them having smelly feet. Still barefoot and everything, she walked up to the strangers and snatched Pesto into her arms. "There you are, palla di pelo!"

Frost must have forgotten that it looked pretty weird to be barefoot running down the street calling out the name of a sauce, because she didn't even feel a teeny drop of awkwardness while observing the two strangers in front of her. It looked like the lady was the dark-haired boy's mother. Or maybe an older sister that was a lot older than he was. Pesto was just there, trying to attack the ends of Frost's auburn hair.

Buttoning each hole and shielding the plaid shirt with a dark vest, Bellamy zipped up his final layer. The jacket tightened as the pull tab raised to the length of his shoulders. When it was finally time, his mother came around the bend of the long hall that led to the living room, where Bellamy waited with an irritable look. “Tu es si lent, Maman!” as he lingered with those words, the woman nonchalantly spoke, “I have to look good of course, darling?” Approaching closer, Bellamy could hear the slow clicks of the woman's heel clap against the wooden floor was carefree no doubt. As the contemporary young woman lightly reassured her composed outlook with her canny advice on business, to the fretful child that waited by the fireplace, “We’re meeting another business, and you must constantly look your best, Remember that my Charmant;” Bellamy rolled his eyes. As she finally slipped into her coat, she called out to one of the ‘housemaids’ that watched over the manor while they were away, the bell rang with a high pitch tone that contained a dainty echo that followed after it. Bellamy wished to stay at home today where he could just venture into the depths of the house.

Unsurprisingly, when did he ever have the option to? When the housemaid came, it raised its arms towards Bellamy and his mother, leveling it out to waist height, “Thank you Lancelin.” In unison, they dipped their hands into the bowl, she and Bellamy loosely spooned their hands into the green dust, attaining a small handful. Stepping into the enlarged white marble fireplace, Bellamy's mother was first to enter, "I'll see you there, darling." Witnessing a glare of the green fire, she was gone. Following subsequently, Bellamy entered the stony column that rested inside the wall. Reciting the words needed to get to the desired place, Bellamy waved off Lancelin, noticing the pleasant smile come off the old elf. "Arcane Timbers, southeast branch!" Knowing he would experience the same green flare of light that occurred earlier, the young boy shut his eyes. The sounds of the sporadic fire that ignited below him filled the canals of his ears, nitpicking out the distinct crackles in the spontaneous blaze that surrounded him. When the brief burst of sounds and lights died out, Bellamy found himself in the lobbies of the branches that worked for his father. "Bellamyy!" Clear and distinguishable, Bellamy's mother beckoned for her son, "Dépêche-toi maintenant, chérie." Heeding her urgency, the bewildered boy scurried pass his mother to the awaiting vehicle that would transport them to the new clients. Leaving the driveway of the enormous building, Bellamy slumped against the leather seat, dozing off.

Hearing the thump of car doors closing and opening, the weary boy woke up. Feeling the light hit his skin, the door to the right was open wide, waiting for him to exit through. "Nous sommes ici, Bellamy." Taking a stride, He limbered up promptly on the sidewalk of the street, exerting a short moan "Hhhhh... Ohhh garçon, je suis fatigué." “Come now, Bellamy, its close.” Shoving his hands into the soft silk pockets of his jacket, the two strolled up closer to the location of the shop, eager to meet the clients. Halting in their tracks, a cat sat directly in front of them, staring. “Bonjour, Monsieur chat. Pourquoi es-tu ici, duveteux un?” Noticing the kindness in her tone, she leaned over to the little animal, wanting to pet the fella. She always enjoyed being with animals, they made time in the garden, timeless. Although standing in place, Bellamy was hesitant for her mother to be done with her moment of fun, urging her to focus. “Ne sommes-nous pas pressés ici, maman??”.....Je Connaisss,” not even getting a chance to pet the animal, she receded back beside her son. “Goodbye little friend” parting from the fluffy animal, both of them noticed a notice scream coming out of the bend of the next street they were supposed to take. Watching her come up to the cat, Bellamy’s mother wished to know the little girl with the furry animal, “Ohh?? Do you know, Monsieur chat?...Is he yours?” Sighing out of boredom, Bellamy propped his one left leg, placing most of his weight on his left limb “Pour l'amour de Merlin!.

There was just something about this woman that made Frost just want to smile a little more. Perhaps it was just the aura of the pretty lady that had reached her and gave her a little poke. Another smile graced the freckled girl's lips, still her eyes lingering the pair of people. Shrugging, Frost lifted up the cat to be about her head level, showing him off semi-Lion King style. "Kinda, he just lives here with my Nonna but I like to care for him too." The childish girl brought down the grey furball and rested him back in her arms like someone would a baby.

Might as well have been a gloomy cloud hanging right over the boy the nice lady was with because he seemed to just not be having it with the whole situation. His bored and perhaps annoyed demeanor was different than many others that Frost had met before. It was, simply put, intimidating in some odd way. But now that she had focused in a bit more on him, the floof of dark hair was starting to become somewhat familiar to her. That one guy from Summer Camp not too long ago, what was his name again? Ben? Bell? The redhead tilted her head trying to figure it out. "Oh I know you from Summer Camp! ... Bell, right?"

For sure that was his name, or at least that's all she could remember at the moment. There weren't many times where she forgot a person's name, as they were the first things she usually learned about a person, but she had only met him briefly, only knowing his name by the sign that was there and by others calling him that. But what were the odds that she would see him again, in a completely different place far away from Hogwarts no less? "Are you guys, uh, lost or something? Why are you all the way out here in Cambridge?" Though the likelihood that they actually were in fact lost was very slim, but in the redhead's mind, it never hurt to double check.

Maybe they were lost and didn't know their way around Cambridge as she did. It was where her home was, so it made sense for her to know the city. The summer sun beamed down on her, making a delightful little heat on her skin. Though she would expect the grey bricks under her feet to be searing, they were surprisingly cool. But she would soon have to make her way back home or her parents would worry, not that at this moment it had occurred to her. The curious girl's eyes lead themselves back to looking at Pesto, it was rude to stare for too long. Instead, her one hand found it's way to the top of the cat's head, scratching it gently.
