Bringing plants to life
Shreya Arun had such a great time planting new magical plants around the Great Lake at Hogwarts. The morning was cool, and the smell of fresh dirt was everywhere as she knelt down to dig little holes for the tiny seedlings. The ground felt soft and a bit chilly under her fingers, but she didn’t mind. She was excited to help bring the Hogwarts grounds back to life after the fire and the whole bloody mushroom problem. Each little plant felt like it was going to make a big difference.
While planting, Shreya noticed that not all plants were the same. The wildflowers needed lots of sunlight, but the moss liked to stay in shady, damp spots near the trees. She had to be really gentle with each seedling because they were so fragile. It taught her to slow down and pay attention to the little things, which she thought was pretty cool. It wasn’t just about digging holes and putting plants in the ground-it was about helping them grow strong.
The whole planting thing was actually kind of relaxing. Digging, planting, and covering the roots with soil made her feel calm and focused. She liked knowing that what she was doing was helping Hogwarts get better. She imagined bees and butterflies coming soon to visit the flowers, and maybe even some magical creatures that would help pollinate the plants. It made her feel hopeful and proud because magic wasn’t just about spells and potions-it was also in nature.
Shreya wasn’t working alone, either. Lots of other students and teachers were planting too. Everyone was laughing and chatting, sharing tips about how to care for the plants. It felt nice to be part of a group all working together to help the school. Hogwarts felt less like just a school and more like a big family that cared about the place they lived.
