Orange hues cast around the silhouette of a young girl. Second-year Alexx Helm sat alone in the library, reading a comic book. It reminded her of her days as a first year. This library held many memories for her, good and bad. She sighed, remembering the blood and the tooth on the ground that followed.

Sighing, she flipped a page in her comic book. Her legs were propped up on a desk, and she was leaning back, probably further than what school regulations allowed. Then again, Alexx broke many rules, so she was sure it was fine.

The orange was fading fast, but Alexx paid no mind to it. She had spent many late nights in the library. She had spent many late nights anywhere, and she would stay there until they kicked her out. For someone who was awkward and shy, she sure did act like the king of the castle. But of course, no one had ever bothered to tell that to her face. Then again, there was that one Hufflepuff, early into her first year... But Alexx stood her ground proudly, as she always had.

Many students had by now left the library, having checked our or read whatever it was that they were searching for. Alexx just stuck to her comics, which were both treasures she took with her from home and presents that Mikey had sent over holidays and birthdays that were missed (with the regards from Tex, though Alexx knew Mikey only ever forged his signature. At least Emaline bothered to write her own).

She huffed again, turning another page. There was another girl in the section that she was in, though Alexx paid no mind to her. She had sent a side glance her way out of boredom, just to see what she was doing. She was seldom to see that she wasn't doing much that was interesting, so she huffed once more, turning back to mind her own business.

Milli was kind of nervous as she walked into the library. Her roommates were comstanly talking about everything and dragged her into a conversation, which is why she made a run for it when they looked away. It was later than what she had thought but she needed a book for her assignment. She walked around for a few minutes just checking around.

Milli saw another girl relaxing, kind of. The girl was leaning far back in her chair and it looked like she would fall backward. Milli turned away and started browsing the bookshelves looking for something to read and so her roommates would leave her alone. She wasn't used to all the people actively trying to talk to her.

Milli kept checking the titles. Everytime something cought her attention she would pull it down and read the first page. She sighed. "Why would people make these bookshelves so tall..." She mumbled while looking up at a higher bookshelve which held the book she was interested in. She grabbed a stool from the corner and stood on it before stepping on it. Milli stretched up on her tippy toes and reached up as far as possible. Yet she still couldn't reach. Her finger slid across it a couple of times until she got a grip. As soon as she got a grip she grinned before a look of horror crossed as she came tumbling down off the stool, which tipped, and fell to the floor with the book hitting her on the head.
