With one swift movement, Amina grabbed a chair that one of her dorm mates was just about to sit down on, swung it around in front of the small writing desk and took a seat herself. She responded to the other person's stumbling and then swearing with a surprised giggle as she really hadn't realized that she had pulled her sitting spot out from under someone's butt. “Sorry. Haven’t seen you there!” Confident that her classmate would find another arrangement, she immediately turned to the mission at hand that she had come for.
She smoothed the parchment with one hand and pulled the quill out from behind her ear with the other, where she had kept it. She didn't notice that the writing instrument had dyed part of her hair blue with ink.
Today had been one of those days where she really missed Aaron. Her partner in crime and by now probably her closest friend hundreds of miles away - hence she had to write to him right away. Concentrating, she leaned forward and began to scribble.

Aaron, I hope you are as miserable without me as I am without you. You really should consider switching to Durmstrang in my opinion. Can you imagine how much fun we would have? And not only that - no girls drama over here unless I am your wing-woman and help you create some. Although, you are probably managing just fine without me on that front, knowing you and all the girls that are falling head over heels for you. I should send you a whistle with my next letter though: Whenever you feel like someone or (Merlin forbid) yourself are getting too attached, blow it and I shall rush to your rescue.
No danger in that here, by the way. All of my friends are very busy hunting the love of their lives or studying while I am just judging them from afar and practicing quidditch. Jokes aside, I really have to bring my skills to the next level if I want to continue as a professional after school.
Hey, my family and I are going to Austria for the summer and will do some sort of sports bootcamp with hockey, quidditch and all kinds of workouts. Would you want to come after the summer camp? They said I can invite you. I think they hope that you are having a good influence on me to be a little bit more focused and stuff. So, what is your assessment on that statement?
What else is new with you? Any interesting plans or developments?
I hope we are visiting Hogwarts again soon and then I want to see some of your newest tricks and challenge you to the next competition.

Satisfied with her rant, she drew a small dragon under her writing that turned out more like a fat pig with wings and horns. Proofreading was not really her kind of thing so she put the quill down, waved the parchment back and forth a bit to make the ink dry out faster and rolled it right up to bring it to the next school owl she could find.
