A smart, quiet girl, Ariadne Dawn was expecting Ravenclaw when she sat on the Sorting stool, and in some ways, Ravenclaw was perfect for her. She was an avid reader, she abosrbed any knowledge she could, and was a dedicated student in primary school. But Ariadne doesn't learn for the sake of learning, she learns because she wants to be the best witch she can, and she wants to influence Wizarding society. With a particular interest in History and Transfiguration, Ariadne has a faint dream of teaching one day, although not until she's been Minster, of course. Her wand, a 25,3 cm yew wood and dragon heartstring piece, is painted black, with a simplistic corkscrew handle. The power this wand affords her means that spells come fairly easily in class, if a little showy due to the flamboyant nature of the wand core.

Ariadne has often been described as 'puppy-like' the reason for this is that she is a genetic werewolf.While Ariadne herself has never been bitten, the speicies difference did carry over. Since she was born, Ariadne has had all the trademarks of a wolf, heighted senses of hearing and smell, violent mood swings around the full moon, even before the age of transformation, and has always been distinctly canine in her behaviour. Seeing as the condition is genetic, more dormant traits have come forward. She has an almost freakishly long tongue, supernatural hearing rather than simply a slight increase, and serious joint pain due to a slightly more lupine bone structure. Ariadne loved being a werewolf, something that caused tension between her and her Mum, who hated it.

Ariadne lives with her Pureblood Mum, and her Muggle Dad. Her Mum and her share a certain closeness due to their shared Pack instincts, and their wolves are the best of friends. In human form, Ariadne is closer to her Dad, he's her hero. Robert has never treated his fdaughter or wife with fear or derision, as most in the Wizarding world would. Even Hera regards Ariadne and herself with fear, having grown up with the fear of Werewolves and having been bitten herself. Despite the challenges posed to the family, they are a happy unit, and hold each other with love in their hearts. All avid readers, they could have all easily fit into Ravenclaw, but Ariadne has always been ambitious of getting a good job despite her condition. Ariadne firmly believes that her Dad would be a Hufflepuff, given the chance.

When Ariadne was 4, the family dog, Storm, died. He'd been given by Robert to Hera on their first wedding anniversary, as the first member of their little Pack. Even so young, Pack meant a great deal to 'Adne and her grief over losing the Huskey was what brought out her magic, turning her plushie penguin into a small Huskey plush.
