Geneviève had been bawling in her dormitory for nearly two straight days at this point. After the chaos and unexpected unconsciousness of her escort during the Tea Party, she hadn't seen hide or hair of him for the rest of the events. Anyone she had asked hadn't been able to relay information about his wearabouts to her which had sent her into a state of despair. She was hurt, and sad, and overall feeling forgotten about. Had she annoyed him? Was she too straightforward with her feelings?
In her despair, she had written to her brothers wanting their comfort for how she felt. Less than six hours had gone by before her brothers had responded to her with the promise that if they ever saw Alphonse they would remind him not to mess with their little sister unless he wanted to potentially lose a limb.
She didn't condone violence but it made her heart soar slightly with love for her brothers knowing that they dearly loved her and wanted to take care of her as older brothers did.
During a moment of her moping, she had been delivered a letter -a scrap of paper actually with messy dirty scrawl- begging her to come and find them in the garden where they had met. She instantly had sat up, squealing excitedly over the prospect of seeing Alphonse at least once more before the departure of the international students. Her heart tugged as she brushed her silky hair, twisting it expertly into a princess-layered ponytail pinned up with her mother's diamond hairlcip. She threw dress after dress out of her closet looking for the most loving color she could find, finally settling on a blush pink ballgown that made her look like a small valentines day bow. She looked gorgeous and she felt as such.
Practically sprinting, Geneviève gracefully barreled through the castle, chasing after the whisp of hope that it was Alphonse who had asked her to meet her in the garden. She prayed that she would get to give him a proper goodbye before perhaps never seeing him ever again-
Hey stop it
No crying Genie. She wouldn't cry! Not now!
She was wheezing outside the garden, quietly and still ladylike, but wheezing nonetheless. As she caught her breath she pulled the note out of her pocket and held it up to her lips, whispering a silent plea to be who she hoped it was.
She entered the garden and looked around for whomever it might have been who left the note. As the minutes passed, her heart sunk farther and farther as she could not see her mysterious companion. Sulking, she sat down beside a fountain and sobbed into her arms. How stupid she had been to get so excited over what she couldn't have.
Her sorrowful yet quiet sobs attracted apologetic butterflies towards her as they floated lazily around her in an attempt to cheer her up, but it seemed fruitless as she stared at her pitiful reflection in the water. Her hairclip shined brightly against the reflection and in a moment of pure frustration, she smacked her reflection with the back of her hand to get it to stop looking at her.
Geneviève pulled herself up from the fountains edge with a soft sniffle. Her button nose now tinged with a gentle pink color that mockingly matched her dress as her eyes were rimmed with salty tears. She turned her head to the left and paused as she saw flickering light. Curiously, she stood up and swished over towards it wiping her eyes as she went.
The discovery of a candlelit pathway and assortment of treats lay before her accompanied by none other than the boy she had been crying over for the last three days. Her face broke into a smile and one word slipped through her trembling lips.
"Alphonse"

Genie wasn't one to cry in the arms of other people.
Okay not often, but still. It was something she rarely did unless it was within the arms of her brothers or father -usually when she wanted someone to feel pity for her or when she couldn't resist being dramatic- But here she was, having thrown herself into Alphonse's arms as the tears of feeling forgotten continued to pour out of her. There wasn't any drama here, it was just lots of emotion.
"You disappeared! After leaving me to walk away so undignified at the Tea Party! How could you Alphonse!" Genie whined as she used a handerkerchief to blot at the tears that marred her cheeks. She wasn't sure why she was so upset over a boy she had only known for a week. Even on her most dramatic days, she was never truly this upset by things around her. Yet here in Alphonse's arms, she couldn't help but feel heavy emotions that were surging through her mind as she tried to compose herself and her words in the way that was becoming of a young lady.
"I was ever so lonely all week... No word, no sight of you... Could I really have been so repulsive to you that you could only avoid me until now?" Genie sobbed as she looked up at him.
She could see it in his eyes however, that he truthfully felt awful about leaving her alone all week and his grand gesture with the picnic, candlelight, and subsequent offer to dance. Regaining a bit of her composure, she looked around the area of the garden that the two of them were hidden away in. It had been transformed into a splendid and secrative picnicking area for just the two of them. An apology, and a request for forgiveness.
Something she wished to extend to him.
Looking into his eyes, Genie nodded as she slipped her gloved hands into his. "I accept this evening request. Considering the lengths you have gone to provide for me." Genie spoke eloquantly despite having a small sniffle accompanying it at the very end. Her nose and cheeks were tinged with a pink that matched her dress. The two of them shone radiantly under the light of the candlelight.
She allowed Alphonse to embrace her more comfortingly, as she looked around the garden. It was fitting that their second meeting, and perhaps their last would be where it all began. When she had simply wanted a simple rose and instead found the hand of a handsome young suitor.
It wasn't as though she had anyone else to share the evening with. And despite her brother's offers to floo into the school, she just wanted to be in the arms of true love again. If thats what it was? She wasn't sure- her mind couldn't offer much in terms of making sense at the moment.
"I'm sorry Alphonse... You have gone to great lengths to make me happy and I am here crying and whining as though I am a spoiled brat. Genie said as she looked up at the boy with an earnest look upon her face. This look got her out of most situations. Her father used to joke about it.
"No angel could compare to you sweetpea. You're far too apologetic."Her father had said to her once. It was something she held dear to her heart. Her father and brothers, for the longest time, were the only ones who could ever cheer her up but Alphonse was moving into this catagory all on his own.

His lips had respectfully and with a certain grace about them, kissed her hand. Something she was not unaccustomed to but had never been affected by before. When Alphonse's hand had let go only to bring the dulcet sounds of classical music to their evening, Geneviève held the hand that he'd kissed to her cheek. It was warm- or maybe it was her face. But either way the feeling that it brought had her heart feeling exuberant.
The music that followed soon soothed her sorry feelings about everything that had transpired between them, and cocooned them within a world of their own. It was a pas de deux. Familiar and all the more gentle to her as she thought about what the song meant to be danced by two. The Sleeping Beauty one to be exact. Oh how she felt a sudden overwhelming feeling of being seen. Both as a girl and as a woman. This dance, between the Prince and the Sleeping Beauty had always been something she'd dreamt of creating with a partner but given the lack of time-- she did not trust that they would be able to dance the way she dreamed tonight.
But together was better than nothing at all.
Geneviève gracefully nodded, a sweet assurance that she wasn't hurt or upset at all really merely emotional as all her thoughts tended to be. It was a trait about herself that she knew needed effort to become less poignant but not one she actively worked towards maintaining. Emotions elevated existence. She believed it to be something that allowed her communication that didn't necessarily beget a voice, but rather impressed upon it.
The scenery between them was set to be something sweet and simple. An apology on his end, and an acceptance on hers. Though she did hope eventually that she could offer an apology of her own for the dramatized flair she had thrown about upon entering the Enchanted gardens of Beauxbatons.
Geneviève looked to Alphonse with the sweetest of smiles. Sweet- not sacchrine mind you. It wasn't in her nature to falsify the positive emotions that she felt in her heart. Therefore her smiles where sweet. Not sacchrine.
"This is a beauty. You have gone above for only knowing me for a week. Are you always so kind to girls you meet? You must be filled with a chilvary most noble." Geneviève spoke as she retook his hands, her smaller grip threading through his longer ones. With a giggle she pulled him towards the blanket he had set up for them, feeling peckish and wanting one of the snacks that had been procured for the two of them to enjoy as they ignored the sands of time moving faster through the hourglass of the week.
Geneviève eagerly flounced on the ground, her ballgown spreading out like a sunset stretching across the sky. In front of her, the alluring smell of chocolates and sweets, reminded her of the Nutcracker Forest. When Clara and the Nutcracker had traveled to the Land of Sweets and where greeted by the array of characters. It was something Geneviève rarely offered herself, with her strict dance upbringing and routines, so to feast on a smorgasbord of candy, sugary fruits, and salty snacks felt like heaven.
Carefully, and with an elegant poise- Geneviève selected a chocolate and took a tentative bite. The chocolate itself was rich and complex with flavors, hints of mocha and raspberry. Nothing tasted so sweet.
"Céleste, oh tellement céleste... This is perfection. You have really done such a kind thing Alphonse. Geneviève spoke with a truth behind her words as her hands protected her mouth from being seen full of chocolate. "I have never had such a delicious sweet. Where did you find these?
