As weary as Clark would be, he felt that if no one else wanted to buy a potion as mysterious as the ones he had, why bother saving it? He should get rid of them, but he had no interest in dumping them out like any common being. He would drink them.

Clark's eyes flinched, remembering the pathetic state he was in last time, but began to take out approximately 10 vials from the suitcase he had to store stuff for his little 'snake oil' shop. He looked down at them, and uncorked the mouth of the vials.

He was feeling a bit of regret, and was second guessing himself, thinking he should dump the content out, but that would make him a pathetic human, at least, in his mind, for not being able to take danger eye to eye.

"Three." He started counting, his long fingers wrapping around the first vial, "two." Clark continued, raising the vial. "One." He tilted his head back and tilted the vial so the content would pour into his mouth. He was starting to feel a bit better, a bit happier. He looked back on the ground and quickly consumed the remaining 9 that he set out.

All of a sudden, the degree of euphoria rose and he felt so invincible. He felt like he could jump off of the astronomy tower and be just fine. He felt like he could be slammed with the bludger several times and not suffer bruises or broken bones.

He thought that the light reflecting off of the surface of everything in this area was somehow brighter to a degree, like the stone gray somehow became lighter gray, like his senses were sharper. Along the lines of his senses being sharper, it was like the sound was sharper, like the birds chirping were closer than they really were, like he could hear raccoons scratching on some solid surface, squirrels running up a tree trunk chittering, he could hear the waves of the water hitting the dirt more clearly than he was able to previously. His heart raced quickly, thudding hard against the ribcage it was trapped in. His thoughts airy and almost clear, like he was finally at peace.

He looked at his arm and hands as they traced the ground around his body and it felt more carefree, not as rigid as it felt like it always was. He thought it was almost animated.

But after several minutes of this heightened feeling, it all came crashing down. It felt almost as if it were opposing sides of the utter and complete happiness and uptake of senses. He felt himself feeling negative again, guilty. Guilty of the fact that he was the reason for giving in to the temptation of drinking something so horrific. Guilty that he was the reason why he was a horrible person to be around. He stood up, but despite standing up, it felt almost as if his heart stayed on the ground, sinking from his chest. Like he hit a new low.

He turned towards the castle, slumping his shoulders and slowly making his way up the hill as he avoided any potential eye contact by keeping his eyes glued to the ground so he could continue to feel trashy about himself.

He regretted even living this life. He regretted being a jerk to his dad. He regretted everything. He felt like he was the unwanted bull in the family full of dairy cows. He felt like his happiness was fleeting, that he did not deserve to feel happy when he was the reason for pain.

You've gotta break some eggs to make an omlette, something something.
