Sorcerer's Shopping Spree: Part II ...revisit his past...

Looking across the alley, Luca did not see any storefronts along their path that he thought would have anything from his school supply list. He began to look around and eventually saw Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions next door to Flourish and Blott's. He knew that there would be at least a few items there that he needed. The group led by the boy made their way right next door and entered Madam Malkin's with excitement every step of the way. This was a new experience for all involved. Lorenzo and Amelia only had one child, and Lilliana had no children, so shopping for a child's first year at Hogwarts was a new experience for everyone.

"Quite a lot to find here, I think," Luca said aloud. He started walking around the shop and eventually found some of what he needed. His mother, Amelia, instinctually started helping along with Lilliana. They started with plain black work robes of a standard model. Luca grabbed one and then his mother held it to his chest to see if it would fit. Suggesting another size, she grabbed it and held it up. Luca, who wanted to be independent but was too distracted by the excitement of shopping for his first year at Hogwarts, reluctantly allowed his mother to chip in.

"Yes, I think this one fits you well," Lilliana said in agreement as she gripped a part of the fabric and pushed it more around Luca. The boy held back a slight groan over the two women ogling him and wanting to parent him, but he smiled and nodded, picking out two more of the better-fitting robes. He then went to the section with pointed hats and pick out one that was fitting before onto the next items he would need: gloves and a winter coat.

With most of his shopping nearly complete, Luca took his time selecting a well-fitting winter coat. His parents had the galleons to have everything custom-tailored for their son, but they wanted to teach him the value of earning it himself and didn't want to deprive him of the experience of shopping for the first time as a new wizard in Diagon Alley. His mother remembered this experience vividly, and his father recalled a similar one from the American equivalent of Diagon Alley.

Once Luca had settled on a winter coat, he chose a nice pair of black leather gloves. He gathered everything and checked it over compared to the list, organizing with the help of his nanny to make sure everything was being carried out as efficiently as possible. After reviewing the list, the boy determined that the only thing missing was a remembrall. He wasn't sure what store this would be sold in, so he looked to his parents. "The only thing I have left to get is a remembrall," the young boy said as he checked everything off the list.

"You won't need to get one of those," Lorenzo spoke up from the group. He pulled one out of his pocket, and as he gave it a little shake, the smoke inside turned white. "This remembrall belonged to your grandfather, and he gave it to me before I went to Ilvermorny. Now I want you to have it," his father said, handing it to him. Luca smiled and took the remembrall in his hand, which made the smoke vanish. The boy was mesmerized momentarily and gave it a shake, pursing his lips as the smoke turned red.

"Maybe you forgot to say thank you," Lilly suggested with a giggle.

"Oh! Thank you, Father!" Luca said quickly, chuckling as the smoke turned back to white.

With this, his shopping was nearly complete, and they approached the clerk to check out. They spent 1 galleon, 11 sickles, and 8 knuts at Madam Malkin's. Gathering their purchases, they made their way out of the shop and back onto Diagon Alley. They ventured further into the alley, passing Knockturn Alley and Gringotts. As they reached the end of the alley, they arrived at their final destination: Ollivander's. Excited, Luca handed everything he was carrying to the nearest adult with him and entered the shop.
