Sorcerer's Shopping Spree: Part I
Luca watched the red bricks in the narrow alleyway behind the Leaky Cauldron rearrange themselves quickly one by one. This created a neatly laid archway from the back of the pub to the veritable shopping center of England's wizarding community. Luca was no stranger to magic and had been here before with his nanny, Lilliana but coming here as a wizard bound for Hogwarts made the experience entirely different. The quartet stepped through, and shortly after, the bricks began rearranging themselves into a solid wall once there was enough room to do so. They all watched Luca as he looked around the bustling market with wide eyes at the exciting task of picking up his school supplies to go to Hogwarts in a short time period. To Diagon Alley! ...revisit his past...
Luca looked back once he heard the last brick snap into place, then moved his gaze to his mother, who spoke to him.
"Let's take a look at your supply list, sweetie," Amelia said from behind the group as they moved out of the way to the apothecary that was to the right off the wall to the Leaky Cauldron. The boy nodded in agreement as he reached into the inside pocket of his sports coat. He unfolded the parchment and started reading from the list of supplies that they would need to pick up that day.
"I need a wand, a remembrall, a cauldron, a box of glass or crystal phials, copper scales..." Luca excitedly listed off. Before he was able to continue the list, his father spoke up, pointing across the area to bring his son's attention to Potage's Cauldron Shop.
"That's where you'll get your cauldron, and you can put your other supplies in there, so that's probably a good stop," Lorenzo said with his mother nodding in agreement. Everyone seized the opportunity of an opening to cross the alley towards Potage's because it was evident that the term was about to start due to the number of people who were shopping that day. They slipped into the cauldron shop, and Luca took a moment to take in everything he saw. He saw several different types of cauldrons and clocked other supplies that were on his list as well.
Luca stepped in and made his way towards the large selection of cauldrons. Lilliana and Amelia moved with him and smiled, allowing him to act like a man and shop himself, but being there for him if he needed help. The boy settled in front of the cauldrons before looking at his list again.
"Mm, I need a standard tin model, size 2," Luca said before looking up from the list at the table. He found something that looked correct and checked the material and size. Finding it to be a match, he picked it up and placed the supply list inside. He carried it by the handle, noting its weight, which was more or less manageable by the young boy. Luca looked around and noticed his father standing in front of some other supplies. Excited, the boy made his way over next to his father to what he believed to be the scales and phials.

Sorcerer's Shopping Spree: Part I
Luca stood there momentarily, taking in all the supplies displayed neatly on the wall in front of him. He was still in awe that he was in Diagon Alley shopping for his first year as a Hogwarts School student. Luca scanned over the non-cauldron supplies in front of him: copper scales, glass phials, and what looked like a pair of pliers. He snapped back to reality at the sound of his father's voice inquiring about what he needed from his list of the walls he had been staring at. Luca retrieved his school supply list from his new cauldron and read from it.
"Um, I need copper scales and a box of glass or crystal phials," he replied to Lorenzo before putting the list back into the cauldron. His father pointed out the copper scales that Luca had already clocked a moment before. The older man then grabbed a box of crystal vials and placed them gently in his son's cauldron after the copper scales had settled into it. Luca thanked his father before looking around at the other shelves. He didn't immediately recognize that there was anything on his list.
"I think that's everything," Luca said, and his father nodded before leading them to the counter, where it would be time to pay. The boy took the lead and gently placed the box of phials on the counter, followed by the copper scales and the cauldron. The clerk magically accounted for every purchase and announced their final price.
"Sixteen sickles and twenty-six knuts," the clerk told them. Lorenzo paid, and Luca carefully put everything into the cauldron. After they were finished shopping at Potage's, the group reconvened at the entrance to the shop and headed back outside in Diagon Alley. They peaked across at the Apothecary Shop and passed it by. Continuing through the area, they passed by more shops, including Quality Quidditch Supplies, and eventually stopped in front of Flourish & Blott's. Luca led the way the entire time with excitement; they stepped into the bookstore in Diagon Alley.
