Charles was completely embezzled by the beauty of a truly magical world. Numerous wizards and witches flocked to and fro, the sounds of laughter and chatter echoed in Charles's ears. It felt ecstatic and baffling at the same time. Slightly nervous, he held his mother's hand, he rarely ever did that. Clara's tender and caring face looked down at him and gave a consoling smile.

"Come, my child, our first destination is a realm of peace, and bestows figurative power upon all who enter, and is your favourite!"

Clutching Charles's hand she led him to the only place of such description. Flourish and Blotts. Charles was elated as they entered. At once he felt as if he was wrapped in a pensive, books towering above the minuscule boy. To him it did not look intimidating to him at all, only giving off the essence of an innocent playground.

With zeal, Charles hastily looked around to discover any intriguing information to enhance his intellect. He glared at his mother as she wandered off to attain the subject books required for his first year.

That is it! This was his opportunity to explore one of the most extensive collections of magical books in store. He began wandering the aisles, eyes wide with wonder. Every book seemed to uphold secrets of its own; spells, potions, and distant magical preaches. However, one book drew his attention: "The Book of Spells." The front cover was like any other mundane book. Charles with trembling hands of excitement flipped the page, to his surprise perceiving scriptures etched onto the parchment.

A voice broke the reverie. "Charles there you are, did you find something interesting?" his mother questioned after returning from her quest with a stack of books.

"Yes, this one," Charles held the book up so that Clara could inspect it.

However, Clara found it difficult to believe that a young fresh wizard could traverse the dangers of the Dark Arts, knowing their family history. She knelt to the eye level of Charles. "Promise me, that if we buy this book, you will thoroughly start reading and complete an analysis before you learn anything from here. Make sure you are ahead in your studies with the rest of the books as well"

Charles looked confuzzled but came into accordance with his mother. She held out her hand again and Charles took it. Both exited the store, and Charles was guided to his next store.
What happens with his interaction with the book remains a mystery... for now.
