Stage 23 - Investigative Efforts
Morning came and at some point, in spite of the terror, you fell asleep. You woke up on the floor, not sure how you got there, the trunk was open and your belongings were strewn about the room. It was disorienting to say the least. Looking out the window you would note that the morning was cool and the sky promised rain. Breakfast was lively, but a bit thin. There were numerous empty seats during breakfast. You had numerous questions and no answers. You were certain that your doll was alive and was up to no good.
With food and perhaps caffeine in your system, you would notice numerous breakfast regulars were missing from the table. In fact, you did not see your roommate/housemate among the students at morning meal.
If you have Steven in your inventory: You would have a package delivered during meal time. The contents of the package were obvious - Steven, the package was already half-opened. There was no use keeping the wrapping on.
Classes would be uneventful also, the professors would drone on about theory and you would half-heartedly keep up with the lecture. Again, your housemate was nowhere to be seen. Half the desks were empty. You would stop one of your classmates at the end of second period in the corridor and ask them if they had heard from your dormmate. They would ask who and you would not be able to place their name.
Who was it that you were looking for again?
Your housemate. Fellow member of your house.
You never had a roomate.
