Most Loyal Friend
I couldn't sit still with excitement.
On my 11th birthday, I woke up early in the morning and ran straight to the window. The Hogwarts Letter was something every witch or wizard had been waiting for since birth, and I was finally going to get it. I was so excited at that moment, I honestly don't remember much of it due to adrenaline, I ran to my mother and her wife's room as soon as I got my letter from the owl on the window, and after getting them out of bed with excitement, I dragged them right here, to Diagon Alley, even though the next school term was still months away. And now, as I looked at the first shop in front of me, I tried to calm my body that was shaking with excitement.
Ollivander's, where I'm going to get my first wand.
"Crystal, come on honey."
I looked at her with an excited smile as I came out of the trance I had entered with my mother's voice and nodded. My mother's wife, (Jacquenetta, was an incredibly like-minded and fun woman, I know she used to play Quidditch professionally like my father but quit after an injury, she now plays the piano at the places my mother and I go out, in fact if you ask me, I think the biggest reason for their passion for each other is music) stayed behind while my mother and I walked into the store, giving me an encouraging smile and supporting me. "Good luck, Cry."
I smiled at him in the same way, holding my mother's hand tightly and going inside. The inside was, in a word, interesting. At least for me. As I looked around with some admiration and some surprise, the man at the counter smiled a little mysteriously when he saw me.
"Welcome."
Then he looked away from me and turned to your mother. "Mrs. Coreson, it's been a long time. You really have grown up."
My mother smiled back. "Welcome, Mr. Ollivander. Although I am amazed by your memory, I haven't been a Coreson for a long time. Roux, please."
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Roux. Please excuse my rudeness. In fact, I remember the wand I sold you as if it were yesterday - phoenix seed, cypress wood, 13 inches - a noble and rare choice."
"Yes, it has been my and my sister's companion for years without getting tired. Now, if you will allow, I would like to buy my daughter her most loyal friend." Ollivander nodded. "Of course, please wait. Which hand do you use, Miss-?"
I mumbled softly. "Crystalline. And I'm right-handed."
I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down as Ollivander disappeared into the back, no Crystal, you won't faint from excitement!
"Here you go Miss Crystalline, try it please."
After dozens of failed attempts, when I finally picked up the last wand in front of me... I felt my magic literally dance.
Yes, my mother, father, godmother or my mother's wife had taught me a few very, very basic things at home before. And again, yes, like any little kid with magic, I had accidentally done wandless magic many times, so I knew what magic was like.
But this, this was a completely different feeling.
"Dragon heartstring, chestnut wood and 10 inches. An excellent choice of friends, lady."
