Lucy Channing - Ravenclaw - First Year

You’ve come across a thin, rather short girl with long, black hair usually tied into tiny plaits and then tied up in two buns or a regular, high ponytail. Scarcely does it happen that her hair is without any plaits and untied. Her skin has the colour of chocolate. Her brown eyes, framed with dense, dark lashes and black eyebrows, mostly watch the world observantly. It is not hard to see her with a smile on her face.
On both sides of her round, rather long nose, there’s a bunch of freckles. On the right side, there’s a birthmark. Another one is on left hip and there are plenty on her back.

She doesn’t wear any make-up yet.

As far as her clothes are concerned, she clearly prefers comfortable and sporty to elegant. As for shoes, it is always possible to see her in her bright, light blue trainers, unless it’s winter, then it’s ankle-high winter boots she wears.

Lucy is an active kid full of energy who can’t stay calm for too long. She’s most likely hyperactive. She is excited about practically anything, no matter how crazy an idea it might be. She is pretty creative and a problem-solver. The more she can move during an activity, the better.
She seems not to be afraid of anything. She’s curious and likes to think about things, not before she does them though. She’s spontaneous and an inexhaustible source of crazy (but not always great) ideas. The disadvantages of her personality might be that she’s too talkative, especially in lessons, careless and always annoyingly excited about stuff. She always has a story to every single imaginable action being discussed, that happened to one of the members of her large family, which she is eager to share with people.

Lucy was raised in a town called Caerphilly in Wales, where her family owns a terraced house with a garden. She spent her early childhood with two siblings, one of which is a wizard too - her older brother Lorcan. Her younger sister, Leslie, is a Squib.

Her parents were working when she was a toddler, thus sent her to a common Muggle kindergarten and then to primary school, as well as her siblings. Her favourite subjects were Math, Biology and PE, she attended an extra-curricular Biology and Robotics club. Her dad often took her fishing to the lake around the Caerphilly Castle, but she would always roam around, getting bored with waiting for fish to get caught. She would collect bugs and flowers instead, or play marbles.

Her favourite Muggle sport is bowling, which she and her siblings and parents often do in their free time. They also go on cycling trips, or work and play in the garden.

The family has got a Kneazle, a dog and a Fwooper. Her mom, who's a witch, takes care of the magical pets.

Lucy has met several people so far at Hogwarts. Her favourite subjects are DADA and Charms. For Potions, she's not patient enough, nor can she keep her attention focused for a longer time. She has had some trouble learning, as her school morale isn't quite as high as that of other kids. When magic is practiced though, Lucy is doing better than average.

First Instance of Magic: Her First Instance of Magic occurred when she was four and a quarter years old. She was sitting on a chair and her dad was feeding her. However, she strongly disliked what was being served to her. Based on this strong emotion, the meal just "exploded" into he dad's face. Her dad looked at her at that moment, thus ended up all red with a tomato flavour.
