Prat: "sometime in france event"
The afternoon air was crisp with a lingering heat left by the sun at its highest point that cast long shadows that laid out over Beauxbatons' pristine courtyard. Other magical schools and their students visited the school and were enjoying the prettiness of the French school and marble columns and enchanted fountains emitting an air of refinement that gave a jarring juxtaposition to the medieval charm of their own castle.

Atlas was sitting with two students, one of them was Arno from Castelobruxo and the other was Clément from the very same school they were visiting . This had been a friendly conversation but because it was so many times true for young wizards and witches who were eager to prove themselves and which school was formidable—the topic of dueling had cropped up. Clément and Arno both looked like they were keen on testing their skills against one another. The young boy could not blame them because their competitive spirits coming out would signify the strength of which school has more refined skills. Atlas, being the tactician that he was, he didn't want to jump into the fray but he did see possibilities. If they wished to duel, then they required a proper moderator, someone who could keep things fair and in check. But who better than himself?

He moved between them as his hands clasped behind his back, there was an air of authority settling over him in the absence of a formal title of Duelling Captain. "Alright, if you two want to duel, then I'll be the one to oversee the entire thing," he said easily, "Rules are simple: no Unforgivables or attempting to murder one another, and the duel is over when one of you falls down." His eyes flicked between them. "Agreed?"

Atlas took a few steps back, his voice booming across the courtyard. "Then get into position." With the snap of practice to his wrist he snapped his hand up between them. "On my count… Three. Two. One. Go."

Arno walked towards these two unknown figures, one of them who went by the name Atlas...wasn't that the name for a book regarding maps? Nonetheless, the boy had agreed to moderate a duel for him. That was all Arno needed from the boy. Next came his opponent for this duel, A boy, Arno didn't pay enough attention to the boy to be able to rightly judge which school he was from. But Arno could bet half a dollar this boy was not that far away from his own side of the world.

Walking up to his spot on piste, Arno's mind drifted back to the girl he'd met on the balcony, Japan, that's where she was. Arno thought about a potential trip to japan. Maybe he'll go see what Maho- whatever school she said she attended. Arno's favourite so far was castelo for it's lush green vibe but with the opportunities getting opening up, the world was getting more accessible than ever and Arno loved it. He wished to be able to explore the world as he grew up. But with that thought, his attention came back to the duel at hand, he was here to give his best against these two lads and gather more practice hours before the summer games.

If there was one thing Clément was thrilled of from the gathering of the wizarding schools around the world at Beauxbâtons, it was, apart from the delightful food and festive atmosphere, all the new faces he could see around the school grounds. This was a truly international event; pupils from Europe, America, Africa and Asia were now all gathered here, at the prestigious French school. These type of events were not uncommon, as it seemed Hogwarts hosted a ball every six months or so, one of which Clément had participated in. This event was special though, because for once the boy was finally able to take part as a student from the hosting school - which was, in his opinion, an entirely different point of view.

Thus, in the midst of this busy Valentine's Week, he got engaged into a conversation with two other boys, both of second year but from different schools. Somehow, Clément's poor English stood up to the challenge of fluent communication - and the next thing he knew, he was preparing to duel the one called Arno, with the other, Atlas, as the moderator.

Duelling was a sport Clément had never tried. Before his recent reconciliation with his mother, he was barely interested in anything and if something occupied his free time, it was music. He was not the best spell caster out there either, for his wand seemed particularly reluctant to do as he told it. This nervousness of trying something new was soon overcome with the excitement and adrenaline that was related with anything competitive.

Soon, Clément found himself clutching the thin wooden stick that was so called his wand, standing at the ready. He was unsure about his opponent's duelling skills, having barely met the either students that now stood at his side, but he was determined to have fun no matter what - though winning would be welcome as well.

Prat: "sometime in france event"
The place where the duelists and Atlas stood seemed to begin to grasp attention of people, and it seemed the tension and anticipation was already rising. He stood and observed the duo as one hand rested on the hilt of his wand and the other held formally behind his back, he shouted in with a clear voice, "Ready yourselves. Wands at the ready… Begin!"
And without delay it seemed Clément made the first move, his wand moved elegantly in a wide sweep as he shouted and casted The Dancing Feet spell—a singular light was emitted from their wand targeting the boy named Arno. Yet Arno seemed to have agility up on their sleeve as he was quicker by far and with a quick evasion that made the small group of nearby onlookers gasp, he avoided the spell altogether and the spell harmlessly dispersed against the stone tiles, leaving behind just a faint glimmer and having no effect.

"Impressive," Atlas murmured underneath his breath as he observed the scenery.

Not to be outmatched, Arno stood tall and immediately retaliated with a spell of his own, which was Obscuro—the spell fired towards Clément and it was called with precision. Atlas nodded to the clear execution—but Clément had evaded already. They both did not hit each other with successful spells despite impressive execution and now this turned out to be interesting. Atlas's eyebrow rose as he was intrigued, neither of them had hit yet the skill was there, and surely their prides would not let this match be concluded without a struggle. He said nothing as he kept his hands clasped behind him while watching the duel like a hawk.

Missing his very first spell in a duel was not a good sign. If this was any indication of what was to come, Arno was about to have a very hard time in this duel. Changing his sport of preference to Quidditch made Arno invest less time in Duelling. Perhaps his skills had deteriorated with time as the boy spent more time on a broom and less with a practice dummy.

If he intended to win this duel, Arno needed to make a tremendous comeback with his own sense of lacking and get back into the mindset he shared months ago as a duellist. With his obscuro failing to land on it's mark, Arno was glad his scowl proved enough to deter his opponent from accurately targeting the boy.

Arno, quite thrilled at the prospect of not getting harmed readjusted his grip on his wand as he pulled it back with a flourish. This obscuro had it worked, would've been tremendous help for the boy, sadly fate didn't wish so. With his next objective spell in mind, Arno attempted to taunt his opponent, an attempt to rile up the opposition and make a mess of their nerves.

"Hit me with your best shot, none of these cheap theatrics please."

As soon as the signal left the moderator boy's mouth, Clément pointed his wand at his opponent and blurted out as clearly as he could, "Tarantallegra!" He had had this spell in mind before the duel had started, and was in fact quite determined to test out its effects and particularly which dance would the boy called Arno perform for them.

To his disappointment, though the spell successfully left the tip of Clément's wand, it went astray and missed to disperse into nothingness. "Ah well...", he murmured, shrugging, as he examined his wand. It certainly could do with some better aiming skills...

That was when, suddenly, out of nowhere, a flash of light whizzed past his shoulder, missing the French boy by no more than a few millimetres. He gasped, wide eyed, and then remembered his opponent was in possession of a wand and capable of shooting spells at him as well. Clément let out a sigh of relief - had he not been lucky, he would've succumbed to whatever this Castelobruxo boy was up to.

Clément looked up at his opponent as he heard the latter speak. If Clément was not entirely sure what Arno meant by 'shot' and 'theatrics', he could guess what Arno meant well enough.

"Bon... on va voir ce que je peux faire de mieux pour toi... Well... let's see what I can do better for you...", he replied humourously, with a wide smile on his face, not bothering with English and certainly not caring whether the boy could understand or not. His statement was not, however, entirely a joke. Clément was not one to listen in class and he praised himself when he managed to remember half the spells taught.
