goodbye, and hello
Goodbye, and Hello
Kairilia Durnaum-Peterson3rd personThe Platform, Sept. 1.
The platform was exciting, a bustle of Londoners and what Lia assumed were soon to be fellow classmates and their parents.
Her eyes couldn't take it all in, but her mother warned her to hurry up, they were already running late.
"Come on Lia, Hogwarts is waaaaiting waaaaiting!" Kairilia's mum was a musical woman, obsessed with musicals of any sort and her newest hyper fixation was EPIC:The musical by Jorge River-Herrans and a whole bunch of other beautiful voices.
But enough of that, Lia's brain was full of other thoughts, thoughts of houses and judgement and other people.
"Come on mum, Hogwarts won't wait too long."
"Of course, of course, just through that wall."
This wasn't the weirdest thing her mum had said today so she just went with it.
And the platform... oh the platform. A headache on concrete. Sensory overload for sure. Kids everywhere. Owls screeching and parents trying to herd their kids on the train.
"Okay, Lia, I gotta say sum'. I really, really don't care what house you're in, just be kind and don't punch anyone. Alright?"
"Yes, yes, mum. Though, I would hope the punching thing would be quite common sense. But I will be kind. I won't let anyone rough me up, I'll hold my ground. Say bye to Cal for me? Bye, Mum."
Kairilia was whisked into the gaggle of kids, dreading the headache that was sure to ensue.
