- Cass Confusion -
Every day was a good day for Cass. Apart from the ones that contained History of magic. It was such a boring class, that it ruined the entire rest of their day (or at least the first five minutes after it). It was such a boring class that... that... even the squid hated it! And the squid didn't even have to take it! Because the squid couldn't get in the castle! Because the squid was a squid! More importantly, it was such a boring class that Cass spent the minute before the bell with their bags all packed, crouched in the position that one would at the start of the race ready for the swiftest exit possible. Their friends who laughed just didn't understand how extremely mind-numbingly, soul crushingly, squid-boringly boring the class was, and how important Cass's swift exit from it was. Anyone who was in their way while they sprinted for the door would have to either move or be moved, that's how important it was.

And that was how Cass found them sprinting out of the classroom so fast that their friends had to say goodbye via shout at their swiftly retreating form. They didn't even have anywhere to be that was that urgent, they just wanted to be anywhere that wasn't history of magic. Like this corridor. Responding to the loud "Bye Cass!" that their friend yelled at them from inside the classroom with a "BYE SUCKER", they slowed down a little bit to catch their breath. They were far from unfit, and they were willing to race anyone who dared challenge them about it to prove it (thanks to their relentless broom and land escapades). There was just no need to rush towards their next, slightly less boring but still boring class. Also people were looking at them strangely. Most of them had gotten used to how awesome the Slytherin prefect was by now, but some firsties were still surprised by just how Cass Cass was.

For a sprint of that speed, they had gone precisely maybe 500 meters away from the history of magic classroom. The actual distance didn't really matter, as long as it was distance. Had they mentioned how boring History of Magic was? How long did they have to wait to be able to drop it as a subject again? The real question was, would their father let them? Surely it wasn't really necessary for any job other than boring book sniffer (which Cass was NEVER, EVER, going to become).
