The street had been busy all morning since they arrived at Diagon Alley. Jaemin hurried along from shop to shop with his parents and younger sister, Mina. They came up to their next stop, Flourish and Blotts, and stepping inside Jaemin was excited seeing all the books lining the shelves. Being the bookworm he was, he couldn’t wait to get his hands on the texts they came for so he could start reading over them. There was so little he knew of the magic world since he had been schooled in the muggle world until now. His parents took his sister around while he went to begin looking for the books he needed for his first year at Hogwarts.
He quickly found the first two books, one for potions and one for spells. Magical Theory… Magical Theory… He said over and over as he scanned the books until he finally found it, grabbing it and adding it to his stack of books. He opened the Magical Theory book and scanned over a couple of pages, already in awe of everything it had inside. There was so much to learn, and Jaemin wanted to learn it all. But first he had to finish his shopping and get to the school. He picked up the next couple of books before his sister joined him, coming over to him with a book in her hand. “Daddy says this is on your list, it has information about magical creatures inside!” She said with a huge smile, looking at the book as Jaemin opened it.
”Thank you, Mina.” He said as the two flipped through some of the pages. All of the creatures they had always believed to be fiction and more were in there, it was hard to believe he would get to actually be studying them. “Bowtruckle?”
“I personally like the Bowtruckles, adorable little creatures.” His father said as his parents looked over his shoulder at the pages of the book they were reading. “Do you have all of the books you need?” His mother asked and Jaemin nodded his head.
”Yes, and I don’t think I could carry anymore either.” The two laughed before going to the counter with the books to pay.
