Secret Valentines

xxxxxAfter the feast, the students and staff would find themselves being led outside by Headmistress De La Croix-Valmer and Headmaster Albrecht outside during the golden hour, seven in the evening. The low sun painted the whole environment with a golden ambiance, transforming the pathways in front of Beauxbatons into a magical landscape. They would be led towards the east where the gardens were. Students who may have explored the gardens beforehand would find themselves in a garden completely transformed for the special occasion. As Célestine opened the gate towards the inside of the garden, there would be rose petals lining the pathways inside, with subsequent white archways with red roses garlanding the pillars. It would be a beautiful sight reminiscent of paintings. As the students walked along the pathway of rose petals, they would find themselves facing a beautiful view of red roses placed in the shape of a heart. In the middle of garden, students would find a fountain of chocolate, with platters of strawberries. There would be a sign that explains how one dips the strawberries into the molten chocolate for those not familiar with this dessert. For those in want of a classic combination, there would be milk and warm chocolate chip cookies, and for those in want of a bit of adventure, there would be strawberry milk also in honour of the pink of Valentine’s Day. There would also be some pastries brought over from the feast, if students were inclined to continue enjoying the scrumptious traditions of French baking. All these pastries and fruits were on a beautiful round table covered in pink lace as a table cloth that draped to the ground. If the students continued past the rose heart into the area just beyond it, they would find another pathway of rose petals lining the way to two large tables. One with cards shaped like hearts, labeled valentine or to friends, the other with gift wrapping material, heart boxes, wrapping paper, bows, hearts stuffies, and more. The students had everything they needed to wrap their presents and if they needed something else, they would be able to ask for more specific supplies from the staff at Beauxbatons or from Célestine and Emery themselves. After the students had wrapped their gifts and written their cards, there would be two options to share their gifts to their chosen recipients. There would either be a magical trunk where students could place their gifts anonymously, which would be delivered at the end of the event, or if they wanted to give it personally, there would be two enclosed archways, one decorated purposefully for giving a valentine to a crush or lover, and the other to give a valentine to a friend.
